I like this suggestion. I think that the "nice" approach is best, at least initially. If you act confrontational right away, it will put her on the defense, and not help her to see the error of her ways. The idea here is to help the poor dog, and you have the best chance of accomplishing that if you act concerned not judgemental. |
I agree you should go over and tell her about how fragile they are and she shouldn't leave her out there all day also tell her about YT had I not found this site I wouldn't know better :) |
don't worry ladies - i know you catch more flies with honey ;) and i do want to make sure that little girl has better care. that is what is most important so it would work better with her attitude if i didn't jump all over her! :D |
Good luck and I agree....the nice approach is a good way to start - if that doesn't work - get her to sign up here on YT. The Yorkie MAFIA will set her straight....:D |

Trust me, I know how difficult it can be sometimes to NOT totally jump on her and tell her how it should be common sense! I am currently dealing with a pet store situation and have to be the best actress in the world and play nicey nice, even though they make me so mad I want to SCREAM at them!! But the dogs interest is our first priority!!! |

exactly!!! if she was locked outside all day in the heat i would not care!!:p |
Please keep is posted on what happens!!!:( |
tell her There is a dognapper loose in the area and you wanted to tell her bc you see her baby outside alone sometimes for long hours and you are afraid she will lose her baby! appeal to HER... if you dont you'll get shot down by her, she'll get defensive and probably defiant. I think if you tell her she could lose something of hers, it sounds more like you are helping her. Tell her about how 'hot' yorkies are right now and there is always a story on the news or online about them being stolen, from yards, cars, homes, etc... maybe she'll be more watchful of her baby! |

Good luck! |
I think I would offer to keep her if your there, also, you may suggest she be left in the garage if that is an option. Sometimes after hard play, Otis likes to stay in the garage and lay on the cool floor. Good luck with this. Poor baby. At the very least I would try to smuggle some cool fresh water in if it's possible. |
just another thought, I happen to own a black jacket, ski mask, and a leash, and I'm very quick and nimble. |
This is so sad! Are you able to yorkie sit for her? If you are, then maybe you need to go to your neighbor and make her a offer to sit with the yorkie while she is gone. Just a thought. |
