Your shadow
 

Is your yorkie your shadow?? Mine follows me EVERYWHERE even if I just jump off the couch to go to the restroom she runs and sits by the door until I'm done :eek:.. Then follows me right back to the couch or where ever I'm going. Then when we are on the bed or the couch she is eithier laying on top of me or RIGHT next to me :eek: I will move her away she will come right back and look at me with those little eyes that melt your heart :luvu: , she's like glue and I can't unstick her, lol..

It's even more crazy when I'm cleaning the house because I'm running from room to room, inside, outside and she is right there running with me, I can't persuade her to go lay down or anything. My other female will just go do whatever, but not her. Why does she do this??

She is 11 months old and has ALWAYS done it since a puppy I use to think it was cute, but it kind of gotten a little frustraiting *sp* after all this time, but cute in a strange way :p :p ..

I guess it's my fault because I'v always said I wish I had a dog that would lay with me and watch t.v. and always go everywhere with me, well I got what I wanted, LOL.. You know the old saying, "be careful what you wish for, you just might get it" :rolleyes:

Yes! Jake follows me EVERYWHERE! He even follows me into the bathroom sometimes lol

Sawyer is my third leg. When I go out, when I come home, I head for the bathroom of course; and my little man will run so fast and jump up on my lap while I am taking care of business. He loves my husband; but when he is ready to settle down its Mommy all the way. I love it!!:) :)

Oh yeah - Sadie is ALWAYS velcroed to my leg - there is nothing that I do that she thinks is too boring to watch. I've never experienced this with any other dog I've had - and at first it was really weird and a little annoying. But that lasted about a week - now I absolutely love having her right at my side!! She's definitely mommy's little pumpkin.... :p

Oh my gosh. It is seriously good to know that my babies aren't the only ones that do this! I thought that Stedman was just a SUPER DUPER momma's boy...but now I have two of them and Tatum does the exact same thing! So now not only do I have ONE following me around 24/7 and underneath my feet all the time, but I have TWO! Ah well, the more the merrier :D

I agree - and that's one of the reasons why I'm getting Sadie a little sister this Summer - two little shadows - should be interesting - can't wait!! :p

Lola is gorgeous. I wouldn't mind having a shadow like that!

Jack is like that. Eddie's more independent, but Jack would follow me off a cliff.

Both my Yorkies are my shadows, Thats how I got my username. lol:D

oh man Teddy follows me EVERYWHERE!!! He comes with me in the bathroom and if I happen to escape him and close the door he will scratch at the door and push on it until it opens, this is with every door. It's so cute, he's so smart it amazes me. London follows me when she feels like it. lol Sometimes she's just too lazy like mama :p

This is a Yorkie trait, some are more so than others but I think they all have it. Both of mine are Velcro babies, Dennis more needy about it than Sahara as he can be very mouthy, though Sahara always has to have me in sight. Neither will play or eat unless I am right there with them though I never feel quite included in the games. It has been very hard on them for the last 2 weeks as I have been renovating the house next door as well as painting that one as well as this one. It has turned their otherwise cushy lives upside down!

Good to know that my Daisy isn't the only one like this!:D
Yes, I know exactly what it's like having a "Yorkie shadow", everywhere I move, she moves...and as I set here and type , she is napping on a cozy blankie at my feet, when I get up and go somewhere else...oh yeah..she will follow. She is my shadow!! EVEN doing my buisness in the bathroom!:eek: :p lol

Gracie is my shadow and also my hat! she sleeps above my head or on my head in bed! lol xx

Peeka is my shadow as wll he does all of the above lol i hate when he follows me to the bathroom though so i run and shut the door lol but he is sitting there waiting when i come out lol. but yes even if i get up to get a drink he follows me lol

Tobey follows me everywhere unless he is really tired. I love it though because it makes me feel so loved and important. I can't understand why he does it, but i think i would be hurt if he stopped all the sudden. He also budges his way into the bathroom if I don't close the door completely, sometimes I think he just comes into check on me because he won't always stay in there with me. It is like he's like "mommy where are you? okay, I see you, so now i can go back to the couch." :heart to

Mine are butt cheeks...one for each side. It's nice in the cold weather but gets kinda hot in the summer months :D

Here in South Florida is hot all year, but I still wouldn't be able to face life without my little boy's furry hugs!

"WOW", you all have made me feel a TON better I thought something was wrong with her, like anxiety problems or something :eek: . I was getting ready to take her to the vet, lol. Now that I know its normal for a yorkie to do this, then she can be my shadow as looooong as she likes, but I'm warning her she's going to keep getting tired running from room to room with me when I'm cleaning :p ;) Oh, yea she's right on my lap right now, lol..

I can't wait to have my yorkie shadow!!!! My first dog and yorkie wasn't too much of a shadower...in fact her independence made me believe yorkies were more independent than they actually are. I'm glad I saw this thread! I love my babies to follow me!!

LOL you aren't alone girl...If I'm walking down my hall to the computer and stop short, I have 2 furry bodies hitting the back of my legs...when I really want to mess with them - I'll do u turns and watch the BRAKES go on lol - they're SO intent on following me they run into each other sometimes...

I got to get my thrills where I can these days !

YES!!! romeo follows me everywhere if he is not sleep. i can't tell you how often i stepped on him when i first brought him home and he got comfortable to the house. he is so quite that i would not realize he was sitting at my feet. if i get up for anything he comes to see what i am doing and follows me back. at first he would not come into the bathroom but that did not last long! LOL

YUP... hence the name under my username! :D

Yep, my guy is always near by. I like having him close though. Sometimes I don't feel he cuddles enough. :p

Aww, look at how she is looking at you (camera) with such passion and love. It just must be her personality and you are her littermate. Is she anxious or anything when you leave the house? I love having my velcro dogs but I know what you mean about sometimes needing space. Sometimes when I'm on my computer and my guy Cooper just looks at me and makes this little sounds like I wanna sit on your lap..and I'm busy so I say..go lay down..but he won't he just wants to be near me so I think..I should be grateful to be blessed with my poochies and I pick him up and he sits with me. She is such a cutie.

She will even walk into the shower stall, as I shower! Great way to wash the paws, and get a drink.

Murfee also always follows me. Sometimes I feel really bad like when I'm cleaning the house or doing laundry and he is following me. I feel like I am running his little legs off. He is laying on my head right now as I am laying here on the computer. I don't mind it at all unless he gets stepped on if I turn around too fast.
