Not real sure what to do here... So, we're in search for a dog for my daughter. In our search, I came across an ad for a Yorkie for $100. I was curious, intruiged, and somewhat turned off. But my curiosity got the best of me.... I went to go see the "yorkie" - I really don't think she's pure. Do any yorkies have long tails? Mine don't, but other than that, she does look all yorkie. Apparently she's about 4 years old - and has lived in a puppymill forever. She gave birth about 7 weeks ago. She's really NOT what I was looking for, and I'm still not sure what to do with her exactly, but my heart broke for her. Apparently they decided they were done with her, so they put her up for $100 and if no one took her, they were going to euthanize her. Once I realized what was going on, I got a little pissed, handed them $100, and loaded her up. I don't know that I want her, hubby will probably shoot me LOL, but I couldn't leave her there. Help? Suggestions? |
Aww that breaks my hheart. Thank GOD for people like you. Maybe there is someone on here that is looking for a new baby. |
awwwwwwww how wonderful of you to rescue this baby! Maybe you could find someone on here who is interested. Or, maybe you will just end up falling in love with her and keeping her!:) |
You probably saved that poor dogs life! Bless you! people like that disgust me |
Yeah, I don't really know what to do. She seems very sweet. The people "didn't know her name", they finally made one up and told me, but she's obviously never been called by name. She's very oblivious when I try to call her. She needs lots of TLC. I imagine when hubby gets home (soon) and sees her... after he passes out and gets done fussing LOL... I'll put her up for needing a new home? I may even take her to get groomed tomorrow. Wouldn't hurt to take her to the vet either if we have her more than a few days. They said her vaccinations are current, but it never hurts to be checked up. |
Oh, but they also gave me no papers at all concerning her "current shots" - makes me wonder if she really is. |

I'd definitely take her to the vet. Can you post a picture of her? |
I doubt she is currently up to date on anything. Poor little thing was probably raised in a cage. Ugh! You could always contact one of the Yorkie Purebred rescue associations because you wouldn't want her to end up with someone who will use her up for breeding purposes. It is wonderful that you saved her life. |

I'm also going to post her in the yorkies needing rehomed. |
AWWWWW, we definitely want to see pics and hear more about her! You really don't think you'll be keeping her?! I'll see what the hubby says. :D Bless you for being her angel! |
yep my Missy and betty have long tails. Poor little girl , what a life she musta had. Thank god you rescued her. |
Good job    This world needs more people like you!! There might be someone on the board that is looking for a rescue to spoil. :) |
That is so sad, thankfully there are people like you on this earth!!!:animal-pa |
You've done a wonderful thing....the little girl deserves to live out her life in a wonderful home of your approval. |

She's so sad - Last night, she found Pix's kennel. I decided that was the best place for her to sleep so I went ahead and shut the cage door so Bogey wouldn't be humping on her all night or something. But she thinks she belongs in a cage. She's apparently potty trained and won't potty in the cage though. She woke up whining this morning, I took her out, she pottied... Then I was going to let the 3 of them run and play. I saw her for about 30 seconds... then she was gone. I found her sitting in the cage. She does periodically try to play, though since I brought her home late last night and it's first thing in the morning, I haven't done much playing with her. I'll make some time today. |
Well, I think you did the right think by taking her, at least temporarily. You saved her life! Now, I'm sure you can find somebody that will take her. You can try here, maybe somebody that lives close to you will be interested. Post pictures soon so they can see her. |
I sure you save her life, Thank God you went to see her. I'd take her to the vet. Any pics of her. If you haven't groomed yet do before and after shots. so we can see who you got. |

Still, she is filthy. I'm going to take her to the groomer today if she has time and if no one has claimed this baby before. Her ears and nails and such need to be done badly. |
Aw, poor thing. I am so glad you rescued her! |
so sad! Its so sad that people can do that to a tiny baby! You are such a sweetheart to take her in and find her a worthy home! She is only 4 years old! She has such a long life ahead of her! it would be so great to get her into a home where she is loved and spoiled to the hilt! If I were closer Id be thinking really hard about taking her in! I already have my hands full with 2 boys though! |

I know I wouldn't have been able to leave her either. Even if you she's not what your daughter wants, maybe you could consider her a rescue and help her find a new, happy home. Good luck!! |

Poor baby! How can sick people do such horrible things. I'm glad you found her. . . sounds as though if anyone can reverse her abusive experience, you can. I'd love to see some pictures of her. |
You did a wonderful thing! Bless your heart! I know you'll find the perfect family for her. |
i just want to cry right now for that little baby... my heart is breaking for her. she just needs to be loved now and not thrown around.. i think you and your hubby are angels... i wish you could keep her, she needs her angel... |
i agree...it was wonderful of you to bring her home, even if you can't keep her. sounds like you are more concerned for her well being and will find her a great forever home. what did hubby say when he got home?? |
:cry8: Oh my..this is breaking my heart. I wish I was closer to you! I'd snatch her up in a second. Go give her a kiss for me :( |
Bless you. She gave birth 7 weeks ago? what did they do with the puppies? Did they have her neuter-no I guess not-sounds like she was just used. The poor baby. I hope someone finds it in their heart to take her in. |
