No I didn't see Tahoe there. He was only admitted the day of his MRI. He stayed over that night and Kasia picked him up the next morning.

I have to tell you that the Long Island Veterinary Specialists is a major hospital. It is on the service road facing the Long Island Expressway, Route 495. This road is the main road that runs the length of Long Island. This hospital is also a teaching hospital.

Anyway, I have been there 4 times and each time I have been there ALL the girls at the front desk knew Tahoe and his story and just felt so bad b/c he is paralyzed. And yes VERY KIND people, including myself donated money for his MRI and just so you know, Kasai and her husband ALSO paid a good portion of the bill as well. I was told that they apparently sold some things to put towards the bill.

Just some background information on Kasia. She immigrated here from Poland, so her communication (via computer) skills are not as polished as the rest of us. So, sometimes her wording and sentence structures aren't the greatest.

Look, I don't know her personally, only through this whole ordeal. Tahoe is possibly getting an acupuncture treatment on 5/12 and Kasia invited me to attend his 45 minute session with them, and yes I do plan to go.

I am trying to get in touch with her now to find out what she really meant by her post.

Lol Carol - it wasn't me and I know I sounded like a jerk - but I swear - when we see people needing help we WANT to believe it....but if the situation is SO dire they couldn't afford medical care for one dog - how can they even think of buying another ?? that makes me question where the money went now.

lets not all jump to conclusions here. Let TLC talk to Tahoe's mom and see what's going on.

I spoke to her last night though and she really sounds like a sweet young woman. She is trying to do what she can to make Tahoe better, this I know to be true. Also, ALL Donations made went directly to the hospital, no money ever went to the family.

Again, I just can't believe that she actually came on here looking for a puppy for herself, I really just can't accept that until I speak with Kasia and aks her what she meant, b/c you all are right, it just doesn't make any sense at all.

Hello everybody...... I have mostly been a lurker here. I try not to get involved in a lot of heated disscussions. But this is something I must step in. Tahoe's mom started a thread looking for a little boy.... to which I responded... then I looked to see her history of threads and discovered Tahoe's story. I was a bit disturbed and astonished with the timeline too. Because this is sooooo recent.
BUT.... and I really HATE to do this..... but I feel that the good people on YT should know the truth... and I was thinking of PM'ing you but ofcourse it would take too long and I didn't want anybody else to be swindled anymore money.

I am officially at a loss for words.

i just caught onto this, and i am so glad tahoe is doing better and on the road to recovery. we're praying for a safe recovery and keeping him in our thoughts :aimeeyork way to be a trooper tahoe!

Well now, this is very upsetting. I wish I had some answers as to why this has gone this route, but she hasn't called me back yet.

This whole thing has consummed my life for the past month, as did many, many others. We did get Tahoe his much needed MRI, and we were under the assumption that if we didn't help, he wouldn't be able to get it done. For the sake of Tahoe, I am very pleased at what was accomplished.

I don't want to say anything yet about how I feel about Kasia UNTIL I speak with her first and I want her to tell me what this all means, then I will comment on how I feel. I just don't want to get myself upset before I personally hear an explaination.

...and I will of course share everything I know with everyone that has been apart of this whole ordeal.

I got crucified for questioning in the original post about Tahoe. I have NOT posted on any of Tahoe's or her posts since then.......

This really saddens but doesn't surprise me if it were to be a scam.

Nicole...... I think you did a great thing. I DO believe there is a sick dog named Tahoe BUT I think she just wanted OTHER people to pay for the medical bills. Regardless..... I am sorry to all you nice people.

She deserves to explain herself. Let's hope she calls you back soon. I am very sorry this has consumed your life for the past month :(

when people donate to a urgent cause they sure don\'t expect their hard earned money to be covering the purchase of a new puppy for a complete stranger. This whole thing is just wrong.
