Swimming lessons... 4 Attachment(s) I was wandering... do you let your yorkies swim when it's warm weather?? :thinking: When it was warm, a few days ago, my hubby took Maggie to the swimming pool ...And that's what I saw:eek: :eek: |
Thats cute! And yes, I take Vixxen usually on the mat in my pool and get her feet wet and tummy. But I do take her swimming in the lake when we take her out on the boat!! She wears her life jacket too :D |

Man, if she isn't looking all casual in those photo's! How cute! Yes, I allow our boys in the pool with us during the summer months. I think as long as they enjoy it and don't have access to it unless they are with you it's fine. She sure looks like she's enjoying it! |

I bring Rocky in the pool, but he hates it and stands on my shoulder or sits on a raft. But he LOVES to swim in the nasty lake in our neighborhood :rolleyes: |

I've never put my girls in water, so I don't know how they would do. They have never even been in the bath tube. I bathe them in the deep sink in the garage. I guess I should start putting a little water in the tub and some floating toys and let them get used to it. |
Mine love our boat and my pool. I think it is learned - not to mention it gets hot here in Florida so mine have to cool off every now and than! :D |

I don't know if mine know how to swim cuz this is going to be their first summer but so far they hate taking baths. Soooo I dunno, but I will see this summer! :D |
She is so cute! We have a pool in our backyard - so we wanted to make sure Wylie knew how to swim, AND, how to get out if he ever (god forbid) was out there alone and fell in. He doesn't get in on his own, but will with fetching. He loves to fetch by a lake and swim out to get the ball. |
What cute pictures. My Rhapsody hates getting wet (lol, I think she has some cat in her, she has many aloof cat-like behaviors). But Tiger loves it when the kids are playing in the water. They just have kiddie pools, and he jumps right in, and tries to bite the water spraying of the slip-n-slide. |

This will be Chloe's first summer! We have a pool, but I'm afraid to put her in with all the chemicals. I take my Min Pin in and bathe her after, so I will probably do that with Chloe, too. But I'm thinking about just getting her a nice kiddie pool that's big enough for Mommy/Daddy to get in too :rolleyes: so we can get her used to the water. We also have a boat and she'll come with us there...with a lifejacket just in case! She doesn't like "showers" (in the kitchen sink), but we're going to try to get her used to the water this summer because we spend a lot of time swimming/on the boat/camping at the lake. |

:D I'm glad all these yorkies seem to be loving the water. Hopefully, as soon as my baby gets all his shots and everything, he'll love to come to the beach and the pool with mommy! Kbsqueff, very cute pics! ;) |
