I was lucky to find LoveMyGirlz (YT member) to babysit my Momiji. She had too much fun and great time that she didn't want to come home with me..... :( But I know she was very well taken care of!!! |
He stays w/ Grandma and Grandpa! I've been out of town a couple of times (for weekends) Since I got Rocky. The first time I was going w/ my girls, so my Rocky stayed w/ my bf. Rocky was very depressed while I was gone, wouldn't really do anything except lay around. Luckily I was only gone for a little less than 2 days. The next time I was gone for the weekend, and I left him at my parents house and he did fine. He has Gizmo over here, who is his best friend so usually when Gizmo's around Rocky doesn't even know I exist, unless Gizmo is by me! After a whole day w/ Gizmo, Rocky is usually ready to come home because he's tired out, but he didn't go through any depression of any sort w/o me. |
I'm a SAHM too, so Mojo is pretty much always with us.....He has only slept away from home one night (one weekend). Our Shihtzu...well, we couldn't take him to Disney for 2 weeks, so he stayed w/ the inlaws. They will be the ones to "get" him, if, in the case that my DH, myself and daughter are no longer around....they will be his new parents! Is that crazy or what? Hee,hee |

We were in Hawaii this year when we get a voice message from someone saying they had found Wylie. Few minutes later, MIL calls to let us know Wylie had gotten out, but was found. Apparently, she "lost" him twice. So much for peace of mind while you're away! |
:aimeeyork No horror stories, thankfully. We have left our little girl twice with the vet (not ours) where she is groomed. It is a good place, and they always give us a very long report. She also gets a bath before coming home. I really don't like to leave her, and she has gone on several vacations, to South Dakota, Colorado, and to Minnesota a few times. She travels well, and we probably will continue to take her more often. Our biggest problem is that we often worry when we take her because she is a runner. She got away from us when we stopped at a McDonald's off the interstate near our home when we were just going shopping for the evening (we take her along most places). That really made us second guess our feelings about taking her with us, and Friday night when we went to the same place, we decided to leave her home.:( |
