Picker all the way. It really irritates me to see huge piles of poop when we are out on a walk.. people always look at me like mine did it.. and I'm like, are you kidding me.. that pile of poop is as big as my dogs! What bothers me more than the poop being there is what could be in that poop.. those dogs could have worms or be sick or something and it's hard to keep mine from wandering over to a pile to investigate.. I always worry about them picking something up. :( |
I'm a picker upper - and with a retriever it can be a carrier bag job ! |
I always pick up my dogs poop. I think it is impolite to leave it not to mention nasty for someone to step in it. I go to a lot of show and most of the people will pick up their dog's poop(There is always a couple of bad apples). But could you image if nobody did. The ground would be a mine field of poops in hours. Very nasty thought. |
We always pickup after Sophie. In NYC it's the law, and you can be fined for not cleaning up after your dog while walking them (even though the likelihood of getting caught is really slim). Not only is it irritating to see non-picker-uppers flaunting the law and nauseating to see piles of it left in the middle of the sidewalk, but it's grossly unsanitary, especially in a neighborhood like mine with lots of small children around. |

I am a picker too! I always bring bags with me and pick up every peice, and throw it away. We have a dog walking tail near my home and sometimes we'll be walking and I will see a dog take a big poop on the trail and the owner wait till he is done, they they both walk away. I feel like saying something to them, I think its so gross! Especially when our trail has doggie bags and garbages every so many yards just for poop! |
...I wonder if anyone would have the guts to say that they did not pick up after their dog. It amazes me to watch people who do not clean up after their dog. |
Lets insist on a new law " PICK IT or TICKET "...............[/QUOTE] I agree! We definitely pick it! If I see someone not picking up after their pooch, I will chase them down the street and hand them a box of ziplock baggies! They usually look very confused! |
I am a picker upper... I feel bad leaving Mochas poo especially since she insists on pooping in front of resturants and other stores on the sidewalk... lol... I have a funny sotry.. I left a little bad of poo outside of my door on my stoop for about 10 mins (just to shower) It was in a baggie.. I got out of the shower and opened my door and there laying in front of my door was the bag of poop and a note from my super saying you are new here but the policy is that we pick up after our dogs.. This was only 1 day after he told me to leave of bag or Mochas poop underneath a bush so she will always go there!! How weird!! |
I am a "PICKER"...we leave it when they poo in the backyard, as it is good for the yard...but anytime we are out and about we pick it up...we hate it when we see poo on walks and stuff, so we always try and pick ours up...I don't want our girls getting into any old poop that we don't where it came from... |
I live in an apartment complex and I ALWAYS pick it up. I have a little carrier for the pick up bags and scented bags (I take it very serious) and besides I get grossed out if I see Simon and Hallie sniffing poo! I always bust people too if they aren't picking up. After their dog goes and they start to walk away I always say, "Oh did you forget a bag, need to borrow one?" then I give them the thin ones I have hidden in my pocket! I'm not wasting my pink, scented bags on them ;) |
My 2 go inside on peepee pads so we pick it up & flush! |
Am I the only one to find this question VERY strange??? I can't believe that someone would even ask. As a responsible dog owner it is your responsibility to pick up your dog's s**t. I can't believe that someone would even question it. P.S. I don't want to start something bitchy, I'm just stating my opinion. I have nothing against the poster of the thread. |
Yay for the PICKERS!!! |
