Yup! They DESTROYED the floor!! So after work I'll be on my way to Lowes to get another room size piece of linolium! I'm currently using my office as the puppy room and its carpeted so I bought a room sized sheet of linolium and covered the carpet to protect it. WELL ! Little by little they have been tearing the floor apart! LOL. So each time I'd take the piece that they tore out, chewed up and magled and pieced it back together with clear packing tape. Well today, I went home on my lunch to let them out, and they went over board....there is no more patchin'!!! The little buggers!!!! Its too embarressing to even show you a photo! We are in the process of finishing our basement, which its almost done but not quite, and they are getting their own room down there, thats much bigger. But I'm not moving them down until I move my office down, and we have the family room set up down there . Soooooooooooooo until we are ready to move furniture down, its off to Lowes to buy another piece to cover my carpet! How long do you think this piece will last???????? :D |
I wouldn't put them on any carpet, and for their new room downstairs, I'd have it tiled. Easy to clean and they can't chew it up. ;) |

Although, I didn't think I'd being buying it twice :) |
Breny I sitting here reading this and laughing because you seem to have sooooooooooooo much patience! Lucky pups to have you for their mom. When Buddy chewed the corner of the skirt on my love seat I screamed so loud he never chewed another thing! Really. |
If I was you i would have a rethink about the lino. If your babies pee on it after a while it starts to stink of urine, because beleive it or not you may think you have cleaned it all up but some actully seeps into it, and after awhile youll have to lift it again because you cant get rid of the smell. I would take the advice of yorkiedaze and have it tiled |
Litttle stinkers!! Mine chewed up the lineoleum in my bathroom too. will never again have lineoleum in my house |
Awwwwwww. Silly babies. When I went to get ZsaZsa from her breeder she said her husband was very angry and the pups had to go, they had chewed holes in the carpet in the middle of her living room. Guess they needed more chew toys. LOL |
Why hasn't anyone asked this... SHOW US PHOTOS!!!!!! lol |

I just wanted to say the My little boy chewed the Linolium on my kitchen floor and it is glued down! Just make sure you babyie are okay cause linolium can have dry glue on the backside of it to help it to stick to the floor when laid down. |

ye me to come on now we luv seeing embarrasing pics. pleze |
I'm at work, so I'll check out the situation when I get home....AFTER I go to Lowes :D :D :D If its not TOO bad, I'll post pics :) |
I want to see pictures too!! :D |
Maybe try rolling some clear deodorant along the edges to deter them from chewing it.;) Also, I'm just curious. How much (ball park) does a room size pice cost? |
Conner found a knot in my hardwood floor and kept scratching it and biting. Finally he got the piece out and my husband had to fix. He was not too thrilled since he installed the hardwood floor himself!! But one look at the furry face, and he forgave. Conner also chewed the window sill in the tv room. I guess he has a thing for wood!!! I can't wait until this phase passes (and I sure hope it does), as he is not 13 months old. |

LOL I was wondering the same thing. Pretty please??? We won't laugh. :) Okay, we probably will, but only in sympathy ;) |
I am seriously giggling at this as I thought it was just MY pups that were chewers ! They haven't tackled the flooring yet but the the new bedroom dresser is minus one corner and the couch corner has been chewed , the dog beds ( 3 of them ) have been chewed along with the kennels ( 3 of them ! ) (never mind what they do to my slippers ! ) .........Yorkies are definately chewers I would say ! ( for such tiny little sweethearts , who would have guessed that ?) Hope another piece of lino makes a difference and try bitter apple spray around the edge , it may deter them . |
Ok - here they are! 4 Attachment(s) Here is the total mess! The shine is from all the tape I've used to piece it together the last few months!!!!!!!!!! And these are 4 different spots they chewed up! Gotta love em !!!!! Thank god it is just a temporary floor and the carpet isn't effected! |
3 Attachment(s) I can't believe I posted that mess! Here's the temporary replacement floor, until we move down to there new room! |
so far so good! Well we made it thru the night and the new linolium in still in tact!!!!!! LOL |

This was at Lowes. Works great for putting the play yards over them to protect your flooring when you breed and have pups. |

To be fair it doesn't look that bad on the photos! I was expecting worse! I've seen worse... My Mum's BC went through a stage of tearing up the carpet in the back room where her bed is and my parents got that fed up of replacing the carpet they took it up and painted the concrete! LOL. That cured her! They left it like a couple of months and then put some new down and she never touched it again! |
You wonder how they get through it with their wee tiny teeth, lol |
