One of mine liked wood...she chewed the knobs off the bottom drawer of my dresser and the other one ate the carpet in my apartment!! i could have died when i saw him doing that..so i sprinked a little cayan(sp?) pepper down and after one lick he never did it again! |
Ahh the chewing stages, don't you just love it!! Sugar and Candy went through that and I hated it. They chewed everything up, pad, toys, beds, carpet, anything they could get their paws on. Now, for the most part they are out of the stage and I so glad because I got tired of constantly buying them new beds, new pads, new toys because they would just destroy them. |
Our first Yorkie, Scruffy, was a little termite -- he ate the wood trim that we had on the corner walls of the kitchen at the time. He also chewed on the bottom of the bathroom vanity. Luckily, that phase was very short. Just a few months. And a Nylabone helped get him through it. Ozzie found a thread in the material in the kitchen wall (now long gone) and managed to tear a 2-inch strip off the bottom all the way across. He also sampled some trip and some vinyl tile. he also liked to chew on the metal threshold. His phase lasted longer and the Nylabone did no good. Good luck with your floor! |
