| Odd behavior? Whenever my older smaller pup enters a room first Uma is alright with it..no probs. However, if larger younger Uma enters the room first poor little Juju is playfully attacked and play growled at by Uma. Juju can hardly enter the room when this happens! I have tried to stay between the two but Uma is quick and very focused on running interference on Juju. I have tried to hold Uma back so Juju can enter first, but you would think it was the most important thing that Uma enter first. All other times they are fine together, although Juju does occassionally hump poor Umas' head. I can bearly get in the room first myself! However Uma does NOT make me run the gamut, she will just whip around and pounce on Juju! Never seen this befor...is it normal for Yorkies? Should I worry about the play growls becoming more serious down the road? Any input would be appreciated.

| Sounds like play time to me! I know it is hard when you have a running bouncing ball of fur, but you should try (try being the key word here! ) to always enter the room first. This lets the puppies know that you are alpha dog. Good luck! |

| I was going to say the same thing as Pup-e-love. If you can, try to enter the room first, especially since its an issue for Uma. I don't think its anything more serious than playing, but if they are ever growling at each other, and you start to think its getting serious, just make it clear that you don't want that going on.

| Thanx! Right now I think it may be play, but am worried it may develope into something more serious later. Uma is so funny! Sometimes if it is particularly hard for JUju to get into the room I will hold Uma down and have Juju stand over her....Uma finds this activity very entertaining and I swear the little booger is laughing sometimes! She never hurts Juju, ever, just makes Jujutake 2 steps back for every step forward!
