Please Keep Maggie In Your Prayers Tonight
 

Maggie is at the vet. They are keeping her over night. I accidentally let her slip out of the towel today and slide off the counter top by my sink where I give her baths. I was drying her with the towel and when I sat her back on the counter, apparently her back feet were closer to the edge than I realized and she would have done fine but just as I removed the towel she started shaking (like they do after their bath) and her back feet slipped off the counter and I was trying to catch her on her way to the floor but I couldnt stop her. But hopefully I did break her fall enough she will be ok, I hope. she did NOT act any different for about 45 minutes then she threw up at least 10 times between around 2 pm to 3:30 pm and had diarreah once. But her throw up smelled ungodly horrible. I was telling my brother when he came in I thought I needed to take her on the the vet when I saw she wasnt ok. when I told him how her vomit smelled so horrible he said we needed to get her to the vet, in case something in her intestines ruptured. so we took her but the vet wasnt there when I got there. he was out on a farm call but would be back in about 20 minutes. So they kept her to watch her until he got in to ck her. when I called later to ck on her, the girl said she had NOT thrown up anymore since I got her there, but they wanted to keep her over night and give her ice and watch her. But I didnt ask if the vet had got back and checked her then but I told her I wanted him to make sure everything inside her is ok. So I wont know till tomorrow if she is ok or not, So please pray that she is ok. I have been beside myself this evening and tonight. If something terrible happens to her, I will feel soooooooo guilty.

Linda....I feel so bad for you!!!! I know your heart is breaking and I cannot imagine how worried you are. I do understand how easily this could of happened....so don't feel bad. I will be praying for little Maggie!!! Please keep us posted.

thank you . I feel so guilty for letting her fall, and if she isnt ok, I dont know what I'd do without her. I miss her so much tonight and cant seem to even concentrate on other things for worrying about her. I will be back tomorrow and post what I find out about her. I'm hoping it will be when I get back from picking her up. I'm just praying I get to pick her up tomorrow and she is gonna be ok.

Don't beat yourself up hon they are squirmy and it can happen so quick! Peeka has almost fallen off a few times to when i have bathed him. one day he decided he was done and he jumped off my kitchen counter:eek: OMG i just about had a heart attack!! I am so sorry i know you are just dying right now without her i am here if you need anything just let me know.

Prayers for Maggie & for you. Please update us when you hear how she's doing.

Oh I will definately keep her in my prayers. Try and get some sleep and by morning you will get good news on her.

Oh I'm so sorry to hear this about Maggie. We'll pray that everything is fine with her and hope she can be back hope tomorrow!

oh that's horrible.. it could happen to us all tho! they are so quick and slippery when wet!! i hope miss Maggie makes a speedy and full recovery.. get some sleep so you can spoil her rotten tomorrow!

Oh My Gosh, Saying a prayer that Maggie will be fine. :hands: It was an accident and accidents happen, which I know doesn't make you feel any better. :( It could of happend to any one of us. I\'m sorry it happened to you and Maggie. :sad:

Don\'t feel bad. Accidents happen. Pookie jumped out of my arms when we\'d only had her a couple of weeks. She wanted to see my husband and I wasn\'t expecting her to jump, so it completely caught me off guard. She landed on the kitchen floor on the side of her face and I was freaking out. I woke up all night long with her in our bed with us to make sure she was okay. It\'s awful when something like this happens. But she\'ll probably be all right.

I hope she\'s okay!! Keep us posted and don\'t be so hard on yourself...Accidents happen.

I will remember both you and Maggie in my prayers. I know its hard, but try not to feel guilty. Things like this happen with our babies and there\'s nothing we can do about it. Maggie doesn\'t blame you for what happened, so neither should you! I\'m sure she\'ll be fine. If it was serious, the vet office would have notified you when you called.

poor baby....i will keep her in my prayers..try to get some sleep tonight, i know it will be hard. try not to beat yourself up over it...they are very hard to hold sometimes....bella is constantly jumping from my arms...it could have happened to anyone!! lots of hugs and prayers coming your way!!

I\'m so sorry Maggie fell. I\'m sending up prayers now that her little body will be just fine and that the reaction was just shock.

I hope Maggie is feeling better. They are so slippery when wet and quick. It happens unfortunately to many of us, and it is frightening.

Oh Linda, I hope that Maggie is alright. Just like other posters have said, it is an accident. I just bathed Bailey and Tia tonight and when Tia was in the sink, I turned to get a towel. I just caught her as she tried to escape from the kitchen sink. 1 second late, she would have jumped. I\'ll keep both of you in my prayers.

No matter how careful we are with our furkids, accidents can and do happen. Having guilt over what is clearly an accident is counter-productive. You are doing all you can to help your little Maggie. Send positive thoughts through the airwaves in her direction.
