Yorkie of the day ....TARA 3 Attachment(s) :angelhalo Yorkie of the day - I nominate my wee soul-mate Tara as Yorkie of the day:) I have a life shortening syndrome which brings me so much pain you would not believe:( and today was a very bad day ! I was rocking on all fours on the floor, pouring in sweat, freezing cold and shivering, crying with the pain and needing morphine - if only ! - for the pain, it was that bad ! I have a fear of being sick and apart from 9 months of sickness 17 years ago carrying my daughter, I have only ever been sick after being on the operating table countless times, and then I am usually well out of it ! .....today I was sick at least 10 times as the pain was that unbearable it made me sick...... Who was right at my side all through this...TARA, "nurse Tara York" as we call her ! She sat beside me, licking my hand and nose, and looked up at me with huge concerned eyes. She never left me once. She is my angel:littleang and is sooo special to me you would not believe. She has stopped me taking my wee Mini off the Kessock bridge here in Inverness, Scotland - many a time.....I couldn't leave her ! So Tara, this is my thankyou to you wee poppet, and thankyou soooo much ! I am feeling sore tonight, and just hoping it isn't a bowel rupture, as that is a favourate ending for us with this rare condition - EDS if you were wondering ! Sorry if this post is depressing - it's not meant to be - I am quite "up" at the moment, and I will get through it - as usual, hee hee. Tara keeps coming over to check on me, and sits with me for a while, sees I'm ok, and goes back to her bed until a few minutes later. Awww, way to go Tara for taking care of your mommie. She is soo cute and you are so lucky to have that special bond. I have 3 doggies and sometimes people question me and I think..this is such a crazy world and my dogs literally keep me sane and upbeat because they are so accepting, they don't judge, they don't steal (ok maybe treats and hearts), they just love. I don't know you but I will pray for you Debra..I am sorry to hear about your illness and sorry that you had a bad day..but glad you are "up" now... Kathy |

I too have some health issues that put me in some pretty bad pain , and my babies are too always there with kisses and sitting right at my side until I can get back to normal......So So glad you have little Tara (this is my 23 y/o daughter's name too) to comfort and love you....You shall be in my prayers! You hang in there! I have a wonderful support site with alot of loving ppl that deal with pain if your interested PM me and I will give you the web address.;) |

2 Attachment(s) Thanks everyone - you are all so nice and have cheered me up just knowing I am not alone ! Hubby is on night-shift, and my daughter Ashley has given up her night with her b/f to watch me too. It's a bit scary as I am meant to "go" before I am 40, so doing ok so far, don't you think ! This life has been nothing but pain and if it wasn't for meeting my hubby at 17, and having my one treasured girl, and for Kenny getting me every Yorkie I want, lol (he is soooo nice to me) I deffo wouldn't have put up with such a painful life. In the picture with all 3, each one looks like they have their own very different personalities. You can see it in their sweet little faces. I am so sorry that you are going through so much. Debra Luv. my thoughts and prayers are with you. I know the feeling of being in constant pain but at least for me I know there is a light at the end of the tunnel soon. Just know that God's angels are there with you in your little babies watching over you. I truely believe that! I know Murfee is always by my side and don't know what I am going to do when I have to go in for surgery....sneak him in;) . and I loved the pictures of the smiles and your daughter is beautiful. Debra, Here are more prayers going up for you. You have a lovely family and your furbabies are gorgeous. I looked up EDS after reading your post and it sounds sooo painful. I'm so sorry that you're having to go thru this, but I'm grateful that you have your little yorkies to bring joy to your life. Well kind people - still sore today, so won't be on for long tonight..... have sussed it's a prolapse of the woman's nether regions, and haven't had the nerve to go to the doc's yet, as it'll be the operating table for me again, eeeeek ! :( They did an op two years ago, but I had a major bleed despite me warning them that that always happened with me in ops - but I think they thought they were saints and it wouldn't happen with them, and when it did they hurried me off the operating table and didn't finish the job ! So now I have to brave the doc, and get it all arranged again, though the older I get the greater the risk - I have a heart murmer too, so loads of tests first again no doubt - what hassle - really can't be bothered !!! Wish I was over in America - as you are far cleaner with MRSA and far superior ! I will no doubt have to wait a year or two on a waiting list, unless I can persuade them I am an emergency - just as well I have NURSE TARA YORK :littleang here to look after me in the meantime, lol;) :animal-pa Debra x x x x |

Thanks so much again all of you ! Won't be on tonight - too sore - went to the docs today, and it's all prolapsed right enough, and maybe more damage than that, as I shouldn't be in so much pain. Looks like the speed of the collapse has torn a number of other things. She has referred me to Gynae - I just hope I don't have to wait long ! Will be back on when I am not so sore.... Been to A&E last night...got back at 2am, and had to go back to hospital to see consultant at 10am. Went to see him and he gave me a temporary measure which has increased the pain tonight, but it's all held up, lol ! I don't see him now for 6 months when he will review surgery options.... If I continue to be sore, I will be back at A&E, don't worry ! Thing is, nothing is sorted, and everything all swollen up through tearing - so resting and taking anti-inflammitories;) Just lying here with my wee ones licking me, but Tammy the moo - heavy with puppies, keeps jumping on my stomach - and it hurts !!!:rolleyes: |
Ach debra thats awful what you are going through. Years ago I was diagnosed with a prolapse, but it has never got in my way of life. You are such a strong person, lying there with your babies to comfort you. I can see that no matter what pain your in, you are definitly addicted to YT. lol I think that you should get member of the week. What do you say guys. |
