Question about YOUR bathroom ! Heehee - got your attention ? Thinking I'm getting a little too personal here ? :D I have a Yorkie Bathroom Question cause we all have yorkies and we ALL have bathrooms - We all know yorkies are VELCRO babies....How many of you have one that sits and cries IF you shut the door - (if you ever shut it) ...and how many of you have Bathroom Door-beaters ? Personally - I have one of each - Cheri will sit and whine - Chanel wants to knock the door down & bust in like a cop on a raid. Is she just a total maniac ? lol :D :D :D |
Same here but I also have the cats! Talk about no privacy, it's a good thing that it's only me and my hubby, so I don't have to worry too many times about having the door totally closed. They take turns whinning and scratching, it's just easier to leave it open  ...Theresa & The Boys :rose: |
:p I have a "silent" protester!!! On those rare occasions that I don't have Toto sitting on my lap ... she doesn't cry or whine, simply reaches her little leg under the door and "feels" around to see what she can touch!! It's hysterical to see that little furry leg under the door!!! ;) |
LOL !! That's Cheri ...it IS cute - like they just have to be close and it doesn't matter how ....awwwww..... |
Silly Girl I am usually home alone so I don't have to shut the door. Sophie always comes in with me and lays by my feet. She even tries to jump in the bathtub with me or she will push the shampoo bottles in the tub and steal my washcloth. :aimeeyork |
That is so funny. My guys won't come into my bathroom (their bathtub) at all. In the half bath, I have dog or cat paws come under all the time. Too crouded in there if I try to leave the door open, two dogs and two cats follow me everywhere. At least I don't have to worry about being lonely. I remember having the same problem with the boys when they were little - they would hang on the door knob and kick. |
I usually have at least 8 yorkies in my bathroom with me! LOL so much for a little privacy. Yesterday I had a whole double role of toilet paper strewn alllllll over my kitchen. I guess they were mad cuz I was power washing the deck and they were stuck inside. Gotta love the little devils! Molly |
Schatzie comes into the bathroom right along with me. Being just Robert and I doors are seldom closed. Even during my baths Schatzie often sits up on the ledge as it's wide and takes a nap. |

Too cute! Mine are the same, but they usually "GO" with me. I have their wee wee pads in the bathrooms so they just JOIN RIGHT IN!! Wow, now that you guys know this about me and my dogs (we wee wee together) I really feel like we are family! :yorkietal |
Bathroom It's great to hear we all have the same issues, but isn't it wonderful to have "kids" with so much love they want to be with us every minute, and I mean every minute of the day. I tried closing the door, no way, so I tried gently "steering" my girls away from me, no way. So, I just leet em in. |
If I do shut the door, I have 3 little noses stuck under the door crack. |

Mine will bang their heads at the door if I shut it - but then again, we are just Thomas and me so doors are rarely closed. They either sit and stare or fool around with a towel. |
If I let Tinkerbell in, she jumps on the garbage can to dump it and grabs as much as she can and bolts into the front room. She knows I can't grab her for a minute! |
Its just Ray & I at our house- so we rarely shut any doors, but he always goes in the bathroom with me- He just sits there and watches. Soo wierd. And when I am in the shower, he's at the foot of the door trying to get his nose in there!!!! He always ends up soaking wet!!!!! :p |

I am lucky I live alone! I have never shut the bathroom door ;) If I did I can only imagine the panic it would cause! Everytime I go I have 2 visitors that just sit there and wait or try to eat toilet paper or get in the trash! |
I means a lot to me to hear the rest of tell your stories - we really share destiny in some way :) |
1 Attachment(s) Mine both want in. Bentley whines and scratches at the door..Mia looks under the door and snorts and blows her nose. If I let them in Mia lays down and watches everything but Bentley will jump in your pulled down pants and just sit there looking up at you. Don't know if he thinks it his carry pouch or what. Here's Mia in action peeking under the door and no...I don't have a picture of Bentley in my pants LOL |

I think Linus loves the bathroom and not just me. He whines and cries and scratched to get in when I am in there, but he's obsessed with our other bathroom, too. And we NEVER use it. It's in our bedroom and when we sleep at night, he will wake up and scratch at the door until we get up and let him in! I don't know what it is. Our main bathroom is also his favorite potty spot for some reason. |
My gross doggy Quote:
When I'm bathing she is better. I take a few toys in with me and she plays for most of the time until she gets bored. Then she usually just puts her paws up on the side of the tub and watches. Especailly when I am washing my hair. If I open my eyes she has her face right next to mine with that "What's ya doing mom?" look. |
I have scratch marks all over my knees from Biddy trying to get up on my lap while I'm "taking care of business"!! LOL. I let her join me in the bathroom - but I do not let her on my lap - that's a little too wierd for me!! LOL. Tucker is more polite. He stands outside the door and stares - but NEVER crosses the threashold. My dogs are SO weird!!!! |

That was so funny I had to quietly laugh at my desk this morning. That is TOO cute. I can't shower in peace anymore. My little Coco is in the bathroom with me while I shower, because I don't trust her alone. She likes electrical cords. But it's like she doesn't want to come into the shower and she doesn't want me anywhere near it either. She just cries and cries and throws her little 1 lbs body against the tub until I can't take it anymore because it's so sad. So I get out not knowing whether I shaved both legs, got all the shampoo and conditioner out...NOTHING! I just cuddle with her and then she's back to normal. I even tried taking her in there with me once when she cried. So she wasn't so curious but she really didn't like that. I used to love my showers. Can't wait till I can trust her enough to let her roam around while I shower. |
Peanut doesn't head-butt the door or anything, but he will bark and bark and bark and bark and...you get the picture. Needless to say, it is much easier on my ears if I just leave the door open. The funny thing is, he won't always come in - even if the door was shut and I opened it for him (I have a small bathroom, can you tell?) to stop the barking. I guess he just likes to know that he is in charge! Other times he will just run right in and either "pull a Bentley" and jump in my britches or jump on my lap and give me kisses. When I shower, he will just wait patiently until I come out and then "dry" my feet with his kisses! |
I don't bother shutting the door anymore...I think both would sit on my lap while I went to the potty if I let them. |
I figure,, he is just gettin' even,,, cause I am always with him ,when he goes potty,,so I guess, he figures he needs to go with me and watch me! ;) |

True! I never thought of that!! They're probably saying - How do you like to be stared at while you go potty?!?! Sheesh! |
