I am too ! I treat my yard and 6' into my neighbors yard - it's ok with them but I WISH they would do their yards also - Fleas are NASTY creatures - I'm sure they have some kind of purpose in the world ...but no one has ever told me what it is....the only good flea is a dead flea !

What do you treat your yard with. My husband used to treat ours with these little pellets. I don't feel comfortable with that. It does work though and I can tell he didn't do it because this year we have ants in the house.

I use a spray by ORTHO Bug Be Gone MAX ...sometimes I spray at night but it usually dries very fast here cause it's so hot -

I wasn't going to respond to this thread as my earlier post said, but since Villette didn't understand, I feel a need to explain. I always find the need to defend. I apologize, but, as an attorney, I am sure it has something to do with my training. That, and the fact that I just don't like to see anyone get "picked on" especially when they are not around to defend themselves.

I also know that everyone on this forum is good intentioned and likes a good, civil debate and I am not meaning to offend here, but this poor man who was trying to care for his puppy (he was in Petsmart, right, not a bar or at home or working) is not here to defend himself.

We have called him:

insane, stupid, an idiot, dumb, the opposite of a rocket scientist, brain deficient and dumb again.

I do realize that you were doing it to have fun and the jokes were funny and not really harmful to anyone present, so I am probably a little off base here, but I just think we are above this. That's all. It is not representative of this forum to call people stupid. JMHO.

How did this turn into a warning about name calling - I didn't CALL him that to his face - I wouldn't do that....but....It IS really stup...Ok...NOT SMART ....to be trying on DOG COATS, with fleas jumping so high, someone could see them from 3 feet away ...I'm sorry - but I'm not insensitive to people who don't know any better - but HE KNEW his dog was infested.

Posting about it and using those words were just that - words....We were just talking a subject and joking around ....not trying to make someone cry here ...I kind of have a feeling that man won't know I wrote about him....

Besides ....I can't think of a better word to use - can you ? If there is a better word to use - please share - I don't want to offend anyone truly.

Why does it seem like certain posts get picked apart ? I think it was stupid to be shopping for CLOTHES...He should have treated his puppy for fleas FIRST..shopped later. I can't say this was smart so what's the alternative ?

Maybe he bought clothes to prevent the fleas from jumping so noone can see them! Poor guy, perhaps he needs glasses himself and not clothes for his doggy.

But then again, fleas or no fleas.. people just love to spoil their pets!

YES HE DID !! The Petco overady heard me saying him I would show him the right Isle for Flea stuff ...and took him for a nice walk to get some .... I left there shaking my head (and scratching) but it was all handled perfectly and the guy wasn't embarrassed or anything - he just never got the coat lol !
