Oh no!! Poor little Coco!! I'm so sorry to hear this!! :( How is that precious baby girl doing? Please let us know how things worked out at the vet's office!! |
Oh no Gorjess. I'm so sorry to hear about Coco:( I can't believe that the vet charged you for fallow up. I'll go back to them and tell them that you'll write a complaint to Medical Vet board ( or something like it)or maybe a newspaper, and give them really bad reviews if they don't refund you this money. You NEVER should be charged for it if it was their fault from the first place. After all is done, NEVER go ther again. I hope that they will refund you your money, and that Coco will recover fast. XOXO From LILO |
Is there any news on how this baby is? I've had her on my mind today and just wondered.............. |
Coco is doing much better now. This time I can actually see her stitches, last time i couldn't. She is already hyper and wanting to play but I'm trying to keep her as calm as possible. She also has an e-collar on. Also, I put gauze around her belly. I will NEVER go back to that vet again! And I will be complaining anywhere I can. If you know of any places I can call or email please let me know. |

Have you spoken to the manager? I would demand to speak to the highest person there. I would write letters. Document this just to have your own back. You must be persistant and hopefully it will pay off. What whak jobs these people are. Don't give up on this girl. I'm sure it might just seem easier to just let them 'have the money' but they are so wrong to charge you for this. Good luck. Go get them. Let us know how it works out. I know you have tons going on right now with out this hassle. I'm also glad that Coco is feeling better. You are a wonderful mom to her! She is luck to have you caring for her. |

When I had my babies spayed they came home the same day. They had both antibiodics and pain meds. They didn't have a dressing or anything but I put a onezee on them. They did real well. I'm glad coco is doing better. Jackie |

Good luck, and I'm glad Coco is doing so much better! |
Here is where you should send your complaint letter (or you may be able to do it online): Illinois Veterinary Licensing and Disciplinary Board 320 West Washington Springfield, IL 62786 Telephone: 217/782-0218 Fax: 217/782-7645 E-mail: dharden@ildpr.com Web site: http://www.idfpr.com/dpr/WHO/vet.asp Make sure you tell them exactly what happened, time you picked her up, time you noticed the incision was open. There is no way your baby chewed the stitches off if she was just spayed. They are much too sleepy and doped up from the surgery right after to do anything. Give your vet one more chance to settle the matter fairly by telling them that you intend to lodge an officical complaint to the veterinary board. If they don't want to reverse the charges, then too bad for them. |
