when do yorkies start to turn silver??? my bella has been black and tan for over a yr now (she just turned 1 on march 30th) but she is starting to get a little greyish silver on her back. i was just wondering if that is just a little or if she will get more gre? when do they fully come into thier colors? |
Hanna started getting silver/gray when she was 4 mos old. she is only 5 mos and getting more silver/gray |
Hi, I assume it depends on each dog. My Trixie's body is still completely black and she'll turn 2 yrs. Sept 7th. She has a little silver on her head but not much at all. Perhaps some never turn  |
I know there are different colors. When I got Holly, the papers that the breeder gave me said that she was Blue(that's what they call the silver) and Gold. She is 4 months and you can see it when I part her hair. Do you know if your yorkie is also Blue and Gold? |
oh...my papers do say blue and gold...but i always just thought that blue meant really black....hehe...silly me....how much more silver shoudl she turn if she is already over a year old? do they change color after a yr?? |
it really depends on your baby...most of the time it usually shows within 6 mths...but it takes a long while before they change completely. but my lilly was black & tan but afer she has her 1st litter she has gotten awhole lighter & started changing silver on her back & she's now 3yrs. |
Venus was 18 months old when she changed colors . Agate was 1 year old . |
:aimeeyork Uma is6 mo. 3 wks and she has just started getting a little of the dark grey on her back. |
Jinny will be 2 in June and she has been silver since she was about 6 months old. |
