| Spay questions! Not sure where to post this....? Though I have been through this before, I have some questions for my friends here! Truffles is scheduled for her spay in 1.5 weeks. She will be just 7 months and is over 4 lbs...I think she will do fine. What should I be sure to ask? There will be a pre-anesthetic blood panel done just prior to going under. Is this the only test I should have them do? I think I will microchip, as my other 2 had it done the same way. And then whatever teeth need to be extracted. She will be able to come home later that day thank goodness, amd will be sent home with pain meds just in case. The price is a lot, IMO ($310-$372 + $36 for the chip + whatever teeth need to come out). Do I have all the info I need?? Thanks....signed...."worried mommy"

| Make sure they use gas anesthetics, ie. Isoflurine. Praying for an easy spay and quick recovery.

| Slightly off topic, but what is the best age to to spay... my girl is 4 months. I don't want to wait too long, because I think the older they are when you do it the more they will remember the ordeal |

| "They" say at 6 months, depending on her weight....the idea is to do it BEFORE her first heat and that can vary anytime after 6 months

| WOW, that price is pretty high to me I only paid $240 for teeth pulling/cleaning and spaying. Good luck it's a nerve racking thing having them getting spayed.

So this is better still and I love my vet here I had called around and the cheaper ones did not include some stuff like...say pain meds, blood work, etc. I see you're in N Cali too...may I ask where you go? Thanks!
