Who are your Yorkie Talk Heros? Do you have any heros on YT? Are there any stories that stand out in your memory where the original poster did something heroic or aided in a yorkie rescue? I would love to read some of the stories I've missed but more than that I'd like to expose the kindness of these special people and recognize them for the good deeds they have done. If you have a hero please let us know and if possible provide a link to the thread that is involved. |
i'm sure someone can help me out with names.. but when Aubrey lost poor little Ella... a yorkie talk ANGEL stepped in and offered her either then money to buy a new yorkie... or a yorkie itself... i thought she was SO amazing to offer that... Aubrey ended up with little Nessa from her breeder but the generosity shown blew my mind.. can someone help me with who this angel is please! |

Thank you so much personally for mentioning ella again . She will be rememberd forever just like all of our yorkie talk angels that past away . I had so many Yorkietalk angels, All of you during that time were so supportive, its a time i will never forget and hold in my heart forever . Piccolo's mom ( Barb ) was kind of enough to offer me money for another pup, It was the most amazing and sweetest offer in the world, She was an Angel and very special . ALL of you were , but I of course could never have accepted that, everyone was so kind and sweet and supportive , it touched our hearts Truly . All i ever wanted was prayers and support, and everysingle one of you did that, ella was such a lucky little girl . Thank you to all of you so much, even though time passes and life goes on, I will never forget Ella and I will never forget the kindness and friendship you all gave me . I got nessa because my breeder got ellas sister back from a family who was not taking care of her, and my breeder called me up 2 days after ella passed away and said she got ellas sister back and thought i should be the one to have her, since they were littermates . Nessa is my angel, my miracle . WE just love and adore her :) Thank you personally for making me smile :) |

aww your welcome :) you deserve nothing but smiles after what happened to you. i followed that thread everyday and prayed so hard that things would work out... and in a different way i suppose they did :) Ella will not be forgotten by MANY people on here... her story has our heart! |
I have a few hero's that I want to mention...I was afraid to post because I don't want to leave anyone out...but...these are people that I greatly respect for what they do for our breed..... the first is DIEGO.   Diego will be in court TODAY to testify against a puppymiller who kept her dogs in 2 unheated sheds during winter . :( Diego has 2 of the little ones and will be hoping the judge lets the dogs stay right where they are. I hope Everyone reading this will send their support for this case to have a good ending !! and others to mention are Cindy (livingdustmops)....Jamie and Chris (Missingdigits) at FluffyButts Rescue....Sherry (Yorkieangel) and all the people out there who have physically saved a dog or financially helped a dog in a sad situation....If I were better off financially I would love to get 'into' rescue..there's just so many dogs that need help. |
I would have to go back to name all involved in the Yorkie Railroads. I think that is just amazing. Never thought or heard of such a thing before here. So many Hero's. Rehomming a Yorkie from one state to another, where everyone joins in for transportation. That just blows me away. |
i would have to say DaisyMae with all her help in getting Gwen to us from florida with a yorkie railroad. :) and peanut, for putting the money up so we could get gwen out and on her way to a happy home asap .thank you again daisy mae, kim and everyone else who offered to help :) also Peanut again for doing everything possible to help a tiny yorkie left outside unattended. I know theres tons more but I cant remember them all right now. yorkietalk members are so eager to help, no matter what the cause. :yorkietal |
I am constantly in awe of our YT members with their generosity. For me, this generosity extends to all things - not just monetary - but support and encouragement and patience as well. I would personally like to than Villette (Red98Vet), Janell (Surfie and Tiki), Kristin (Lil Mis' Magic), Jennifer (JenCar98)Des (Tiger's Mom), and Pattie (Pattie) for everything they've done for me. I have so many YT heroes it would be impossible to name them all. I have been moved by so many things on this site, from the rescues to amazing offers in times of need. |
I think most everyone here are heros in one respect or another........if someone has a concern or worry about their baby.....EVERYONE comes to the rescue.....even if it's only kind words and support.....and if they can provide more help then they are extraordinary....and swing into high gear......with names of people to help or phone numbers.......so my vote is that YT has a LOT of heros.......:yorkietal |
[QUOTE=red98vett;1042237]the first is DIEGO. I hope all goes well in court today for you, Diego. I'll be praying and hoping you will be keeping the little ones! Let us know how it goes, please!!! And, thank you Jodie, you are too sweet! This site is filled with some of the very best members. I've told my husband of several things that have happened: from members staying up all night with another member whose yorkie was having it's first litter, to even helping the one member keep her house. I realize that turned out bad because she scammed so many, but the hearts of YT members were in the right place! |
I only joined this amazing group in February and am in total awe of all of you..... the way your unbelievable love for these precious little animals inspires you to do, feel say all the wonderful things I constantly read here, from the rescues, to the Yorkie Railroad (Gwen's story still makes me cry), to the support y'all give to fellow YT's when they and their babies are in need. I am constantly blown away by your generosity of spirit, and soul......If I have a bad "people" day, reading here renews my faith in humankind.... what can I say.....:yorkietal :2hearts2: :cheer: :clapsmile |
   These are such cool posts and I agree with every single one....and thanks Jodie - (hugs) |
I'm a fairly new newbie myself. These posts are touching and the YT family is amazing!   |
Best of luck to Diego today.:) WE are all crossing our fingers and toes;) I want to put out a SPECIAL Thank You to Kristin (Lil Mis Magic) for all the kind sewing donations she made to my rescue. I never once asked for anything .She just gave out of the kindness of wanting to help with surprise packages for the rescue dogs:luvu: |
Yoda and Fasteddie. When Fasteddie got Yoda, he realized there weren't many good sources of online information and support for Yorkie owners. So he made one and called it YorkieTalk. The database of searchable information now is phenomenal. |
I didn't realize that is how YT started! Thanks Fasteddie :) |
If you go back and read V's first post (red98vett) you will see why I admire her so much. With everything she has to deal with she still makes time for all of us when we need her. She is one of the rock-solid foundations of this board. The support she has offered against the puppymill tragedy amazes me. (When I grow up I want to be just like her - even if I am older than her!!!) Right now I am very impressed with Peanut and her current fight to save her neighbors yorkie. Even though most of us encouraged her to steal an neglected dog she stood firm and did (and continues to do) the right thing in the right way. She has taught me a valuable lesson as have so many on this board. V and Peanut - I luv ya! Lou |
There are way to many on this board. I am so grateful for all the support I get here :) |
Well my Avatar-Always-Makes-Me-Feel-Better Hero is Vee, hands down! I also have to say I really admire Cindy (livingdustmops) because of the time and love she puts into rescue efforts. Being able to do that on top of a full schedule is very admirable. I also know that Kimberly (feminvstr) and Stacy (sylvan) have stayed up late hours helping members with breeding issues...people they just 'met' online and have even openly offered help and provided their contact info for anyone with questions, in a panic, or just to talk them down while their female was delivering. |
I have two-- Cindy (livingdustmops) who is a good friend to me and her 10  little rescues and... Kim (simonandhallie) who I just somehow relate to--a professional woman who loves her little soccer stars as much as I love mine.... |
I agree with everyone on their heroes. Good choices, and there are lots more. I meant to come back and add Kimberly of simonandhallie fame, but alisonJ beat me to it. I remember the day it was announced that she would become a monitor. I thought, What a fool! Why would she turn something so fun and carefree into a "job?" But more than I ever thought possible, she's kept her posts fun and remained one of the gang while also being one of the monitors. That can't be an easy line to walk, but she's done it expertly. I want a boss like Kimberly some day! |
I really don't know about being a hero, but I have to admire Onelovelylynn. She drove all the way from Tx to Al about a 12 hour drive or so, to get Kizzy and she has given kizzy such a nice home with a great little sister to play with and lots of love and care and also she has become a friend to me and keeps me posted on kizzy and sends pics all along so I still get to see her. Of all the people on yt, she is probably the only one that really knows the whole matter of me letting kizzy go to another home and she trusted me to be telling the truth about kizzy. She did not get her and find out kizzy had any more problems than what I told her and also that Kizzy was just as smart as I always said she was. I think she truly does understand that we did love kizzy and was hard for us to let her go. So to me, I'd have to say she is the closest thing to a hero to me as anyone, even tho Ive read so many threads of people doing good things here. I truly think their are unsung heros in all walks of life in one way or another. So, Lynn, I really appreciate your understanding and friendship and your love for our kizzy. We will always love her and think of her. She was our first yorkie. |
There are so many wonderful people in her that have offered such wonderful advice. First and foremost, FastEddie and his beloved Yoda, the little star in the corner of all of our screens. This website has been invaluable to me and my fiance since we purchased Lola. Second, Red98Vett. She has posted so many times, yet I feel that each post is so important to all members on this site. Livingdustmops, where do I begin... When I have become frustrated on this site due to personal differences, she pmed me and made me put things into perspective. She cares so much about animals and has given so much of her life to them. She is a true inspiration. SimonandHallie, Kimberly also posts frequently and seems like a great gal. AlaskaYorkie, if nothing else, I enjoy his quips and love to see pics of his doggies in the snow.:) Miezzi, for all of the wonderful advice and for always keeping pics of her beautifully groomed dogs updated.;) Scrapindee, for all of her wonderful advice about Biewers and for keeping me updated on all of her pups. Hopefully I will get a chance to add one of her pups to my family. I look forward to meeting her next week and I never would have met her had it not been for Yorkie Talk. I could add so many more to this. You guys are all so wonderful and I love coming back here and seeing the people who have been here since I signed up and who were here before that. It is so nice that others get a chance to get info here too. Welcome to all of you new comers. You will learn so much and you will meet so many wonderful people. |
I have a few too... First off V because she is always there for you no matter what is going on in her life she is always there to support anyone who needs it. Also Everyone who has participated in the YT railroad and YT rescues i remember back when Chancie the shelter dog needed a new home and Pattie was going to drive 100's of miles to take him home with her. Also i would like to thank the many members who have been there for me in my time of need there are just to many to thank. Cindy (Chattiesmom) she is a wonderful person and always there to help as well. And Connie she is one of the sweetest people here. Of course we can't forget Admin for starting this site and all the members that make it a great place to be You are all my hero's! I also think the breeders here who stay up all night and give thier personal number to help a fellow Yt member in the most crucial time i applaud you as well! |
and a big thank you to peanut too for her behind the scenes support for me when I felt the rest of the world was down on me. Peanut you know just what to say to a person when they need something to make them feel better. thank you lady. |
I'll start off with Mardelin. She crosses the the exhibitor/breeder lines. She does not post just on show topics as they pop up. She is a constant presence that teaches us breeders and in a sense mentors us without even knowing it. She inspires us to strive for the standard, encourages us to attend shows by hearing all the knowledge that is attained by doing such. When people asks for all of her years of knowledge wrapped up in one thread (stuff that should have been researched already by now), she gladly and gracefully obliges. She's very non judgemental in her posts. I'm thankful she posts in the breeder section for us to learn from about showing yorkies( and many other topics), even if we may not. Some of us may be inspired to by listening to her. |
There are so many wonderful people on YT. I could list so many people whom I admire on and on... I probably will try to do that at end of the thread. But before I do that, I must say who my best hero is... That is Haruka :) Yes I am trying to brag about my own dog. Haruka is just awesome. She is not only cute, but also sincere. She comes to work with me to domestic violence agency. Haruka just sits on people's lap and just comfort them. A dog with no word!.. but her presense makes participants feel a little better. She doesn't have to say any word.... just one or two licks and cuddles... my participants smile. She is the best social workers I have met in the field. So she is my hero... Let's see.. I hope I don't leave out anyone.. I admire My best friend, Patti!!: I don't know how she does it. She is always here to give everyone support with very nice words... I cannot keep up.. And she is always supporting people with donation and being available. She is such a good listener for me too! :) Admin... Isn't he awesome? If he weren't hero, there wouldn't be any YT. It must be a lot of work... I probably wouldn't be able to be in charge of the big forum like this! He is just awesome!! feminvstr is a great breeder. She is always available to give people great advice!!! ALso she shares a lot of pictures of her lovely puppies! Chattiesmom... makes wicked awesome harnesses!!! Alaskayorkie... He has perfect English grammer and perfect photos!!! Also he always makes good points to all threads that I read! Sylvan ... for letting me buy such a wonderful yorkie like Haruka :) Megan ... She is such a young girl, but wicked smart and fun !!!! Dan and Corinne .... She is so cool because she is half Japanese :D She has been always nice and supportive. Diego... I always thought Diego were a man... anyway.. I don't know why I admire Diego.. but I always have great impression to Diego's comments... Kalina82... She is also awesome!!! She is a good listener... and a fun person to talk to. Jaxon's mom... she is someone whom I always look forward to seeing at Boston Yorkie meet-up!! She is so friendly and kind!!! Those of you who rescue!!... I cannot do it... so I admire you all for your caring and thoughtfullness Those of you who sew dresses... I have been trying really hard... People on YT make really beautiful dresses.. so I admire you all. Oh my goodness.. it is becoming endless.... There are so many people who I admire!!! I think every single person on here... is awesome and I admire!! Because of everyone, we have YT going stronger and stronger!! :) |
Villette is my Yorkie Talk hero!! I went through a VERY heartbreaking decision recently when I was torn about adding another addition to our family. In the end, it wasn't meant to be. Villette was so sweet and understanding- Thank you Villette for everything- your kindness meant so much to me!! (and your Avatars rock too!! ) |
Well my heros on YT are everyone that gets on here and allows me to be part of their lives and their yorkies life...Since I have join YT alot of things have happen, lost dogs, precious babies passing over, babies being born, different hair do's, lots & lots of styling pics of dresses, jammies, vest, alot of new yorkie additions, new rescues, rehomeing, family joys and families heartaches.... but the biggest thing is the great friends that I have made on YT...If I have learn on thing is that when this family of YT comes together in prayer, it can move mountains....It takes alot of bravery, honor, pride, joy & tears to share your life on here, so for that YOU are my hero YORKIE TALK! Thank you for letting me be part of this great yorkie family....:ghug: |
