i am so glad someone asked this question because i was trying to get together a bag for romeo since i know he will be going places with me alot - as often as i can take him - and i wasn't quite sure what all i would need. the summer weather can be quite brutal here in mississippi and i don't want him to suffer. thanks for the great info!:thumbup: :)

:p Oh boy... now I'm ashamed. I never thought of making a doggie aid kit to take with. On the trips to the park or places I've only taken a leash and a bottle of water... ooooooops. I'll take care of a Pepper baggie....

Puppy pads, extra blankets, paper towels, extra leash, puppy first aid kit, dry kibble, baby food jar of chicken, Tylenol (for me), travel bowls and toys. I pack it whenever we go somewhere - just like a diaper bag. Never leave home without it!!

I bought the benadryl from a wal-mart but I did ask my vet the correct dosage to give them. However, it was the same that I found online. Sorry I don't know the link but I'm sure if you search dog and benadryl something will come right up. :)

I always recommend to ask your vet. I wouldn't want to give out something wrong to you. I know if you do a search online you will most likely find it but I seriously suggest double checking with your vet. Better safe then sorry;)

Im finding more things to add to my bag. Great Post!!! I carry a few toys, water bottle, bowl, treats, baggie of food, leash, and pads. Thats all i can fit i need a new bag.

LOL, where do I start? Well in my trunk I have a pet first aid kit & a human first aid kit. In Zoey's purse is some pads, some frozen bottle of water, her collapsable bowls, a plastic bowl with kibble, some toys & treats. A phone card if we ever need it. :rolleyes: . And a list of numbers.

I give my dog generic clariton; I believe it's loratindine (it's the active antihistamine in clariton). You can buy 120/10mg pills at sam's club for around $10. I take one every day & Logan gets a half when he's allergies act up. My vet said this is fine. I like this better cause it doesn't have the extra stuff like benedryl & doesn't make them sleepy. And it really works. We were over at a friends how & their lab had an allergic reaction to something & her mouth began to swell, I happend to have a pill in my purse & they swelling was noticable down within the hour.

I also carry childrens Ibprofen because Logan has been know to get sprains when he plays to hard. This enables him to relax & go to sleep & then he's good as new the next day.

Sweater, her favourite microwavable "sucky toy" (as we call it), a nylabone, couple treats, couple bottles of water, water dish w/ a plastic bag for when it gets wet, food dish & baggie full of royal canin food, harness, potty pads...

Vet told me 1/2 teaspoon, when she had her last appointment. Rosi got stung a couple of days ago, so wanted to make shure so called again , and she said 7ml in a syringe !
