| Just got his shot... actin weird... help Ok i took Mojo for his second distemper shot today. While we were there I had his rear shaved and nails trimmed. He really didnt like it but he needed it. Now hes acting kind of weird and whimpers like he's in pain. Is he just sore from the shot or what. Im kind of worried cause ive never done this before. Is this normal?

| I would call the vet in the morning just in case, but 2 weeks ago my baby got one of his shots and he just laid there all day and seemed to squeal around alittle, I called the vet and they said that it was normal to be sluggish and the shot may be a little sore. I hope everything is okay. |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Cali had a bad time after her 3rd distemper shot when she was a baby. She laid around and screamed if I picked her up. She was fine the next day. Maya my pom had her Distemper yearly booster today and the vet said she may not feel well for 2 hours. If he seems worse I would call the vet but he will probably be better in the morning. Good luck.

I do hope everything is good, I hope someone can give you some more advice. |

| Chloe did the same thing with her baby shots. We got the vet to give us some NSAID medication approved for dogs and she did better the next time. It scared me because she wouldn't walk and would yelp if we touched her, but it only lasted about 24 hours. |

| I very gently stroked my baby girl's back where she got the shot (between the shoulder blades) and that seemed to soothe her and she calmed down after throwing a complete hissy fit right after the shots, not to mention throwing up. You might try just gently stroking her and see if she reacts positively. |

But like i said he's much better today but the spot is still a little sore. Thanks again with your help everyone on YT has been amazing!
