There are so many people telling you all NEVER buy a puppy sight unseen. Your asking for trouble. I do hope people will start doing their homework before buying a puppy. This lady should be put in jail. I'd be willing to be that she has done this to hundreds of people. I hope you have her address and can get to her before she disapears to another town and starts the same scam. You really need to contact the sheriffs department in her town, tell them what she has done to you and others and ask if they will check up on her to see if she does have dogs and ask her some serious questions. You need to demand your money in overnight mail. Even if you do get your money, don't do like candybaby and drop the whole thing just because you got your money back. She needs to be put away so she can't do this to anyone else.

how can i report a scam? can someone give me the number to the DA in fortworth. i dont know where she lives i thought i did but it turns out to be different then what candybaby had~

okay well i started contacting police departments in dallas and they kept giving me different numbers and blah blah. so i talk to this lady and she said that its a civil matter because i dont have legal documents saying she has my money. i said yes i do i have emails and i have the reciept. and she said well you have to contact the swindle unit and see if they can help you. but i guess they are closed for the night since no one is answering.

this pisses me off. no one takes anything seriously and they just give you the runaround instead of helping.

If you spoke with this woman it is hard to tell she is a scammer I did not realize until now that she is still doing it if I would of know she has been doing this for a while then I would NOT have dropped it. I feel for you and am crossing my fingers that you do get your money back!! Sounds as though she willl back down if you are persistant, and you are obviously persistant so I am hoping for a happy ending for you. As far as contacting the district attorney and this woman getting what she deserves, unfortunately she will more than likely just get a slap on the wrist. I was scammed on puppyfind a few years back, before I found my Peanut. This woman scammed me and several others for a grand total of over $25,000 dollars...$1,060 was my money. This con-artist also used similar antics like "my mother is sick in the hospital" or "the puppy is sick". The case just went to court in February, 3 years after the scam, and she was given a 2 yr suspended sentence with probation only. :thumbdown She was ordered to pay back those of us who still had our receipts and proof that we were scammed, so she only has to pay back $9,000 which is less then half of what she made off of us victims. She also has 4 years to pay us back. I am supposed to recieve a check every 3 months starting in May for some ridiculously small amount. I could take her to small claims court but I feel this would be a waste of my time as I was told she does not own any property or have any money. So sad that these people can get away with this. :(

i wish i some kind of help doing this. i hate when police or people give me the runaround. i decided to wait till monday and call the swindle unit. and then go from there and i tried calling consumer problems with the DA but all the people where busy on other lines. so it automatically hung you up.

I just wanted to say Good luck and don\'t give up I know you are frusterated so Please take it out on the scammer.....
