![]() I asked the same question when i was looking for a puppy about the color but everyone i talked to said that rarely do yorkies stay black and tan as adults and that the only way it would be possilble is for both parents to be black and tan. So i think the puppy will most likely change colors when it gets older.

| ![]() I don't think they are supposed to stay black and tan... also, for some reason, fantisyorkies.com is setting off a bell in my head....I know I have heard something about them...I just don't remember what...maybe someone else here will know.

![]() I have heard that they change colors when they get older but this lady said that this pup is pretty dark and she will probably stay Black even though both her parent are not black and tan.

![]() Well she is pretty cute! I think we got ours at 3 months and she was pretty small now when she sets down she is as tall as a 12 in ruler. I hope that she will not get much bigger. Her nose seamed to get a little longer and her hair went from black to silver back to black and her head is changing to brown. I am excited and can?t wait to see what she ends up looking like! Maybe your new one will change too. I read somewhere that the color changes several times before the real color comes in. ![]()

![]() theres a whole thread about them. the USDA sais they must keep their dogs outside in a kennel. ive heard of people getting healthy, happy pups from her, but supposedly she does have many many dogs.

![]() She is just darling!! She has a nice coat and her ears are already up. As far as her color goes, well no one would know what the end result would be this early. What do her parents look like?

![]() Are you sure that puppy is 5 weeks old? She looks older than that to me. Just my opinion, I've had a couple of litters and she looks more like 8 weeks or more.
