Good luck in your decision because I know you are lonely. It is difficult to hide a yapper, easy to sneak outside, but eventually the manager will most likely see you walking around the neighborhood. Laughing because that is exactly what happened to me when Sophie was just brought home at 14 weeks. We moved a month later to a garden apartment with enclosed yard which was just perfect for her. Yes, she continued to yap because now there were squirrels, humans and many other distractions. Make sure you look at Alaskayorkie's Dogster page. It will bring you joy and laughter. Also, try Idodogtricks.com. Take care, Deborah |
I wouldnt advise just doing it without permission. These yorkie's do love to bark, and I think de-barking them is cruel. IMO I would just ask the apt manager about it first, then go from there or move. |
I too think you should wait. You never know if they will be a barker or not. If you can, move to a pet friendly apartment complex and getting him/her sooner :) I rent a townhouse and thankfully they are pet-friendly. I did pay a pet deposit but I feel comfortable knowing they are allowed and no one will tell on me ;) Good luck  |
