Still no puppy :( I just went to my friends birthday party, her parents came out with a big box and inside was a tiny lil yorkie puppy. it killed meee, i smiled an ackward kind of smile while she ran up and hugged and kiss her new puppy. ive been researching, saving and looking for a puppy for months and yet.. no puppy. It makes me want to take my credit card run up to the nearest petshop and take home the 1st yorkie puppy i see! but NooOO i have to find the right breeder which is turning out to be alot harder than it sounds. all the breeders in my area are teacup-centric and all the good ones far away dont ship :( I just want a happy, healthy, puppy. i dont need teacup, or micromini, or pocket book or anything like that its just so FRUSTRATING! The doggy i have now really is wonderful, but hes my stepsisters dog, she bought him a while ago and he knows who his owner is. i just want a dog of my own :( sorry for the vent. anyways, would some1 plz post some of the yt breeders? |
It's ok to vent. I'd been wanting a yorkie for years & doing major research. It took a long time to find my Riley. But she was well worth the wait!!!! Keep looking & before you know it, you'll have your baby too. |
i know how you feel jacky!! i was the same way - could not find a puppy anywhere and i had been searching for a year. then my neighbor showed up with one AFTER i told her that i wanted one!! and as many times as i asked her to let me know when or if the person she bought her puppy from had more she would not! it was like she wanted to be the only person with one. so i kept checking the newspaper for them and it was either the price was more than i wanted OR they were located too far away. i didn't give up and i kept praying for one and almost fell out of my seat at the beauty shop when i saw the ad that i ended up getting romeo from! my prayers were answered and i went a picked him up the same day as soon as my husband got home from work. hang in there!!! |
It takes time to find a puppy but with some patience and prayer, you will get one :) |
I know the feeling! I want a Yorkie so bad and I can't have b/c no pets allowed but a girl that is my friend here in Alaska is getting one. I'm gonna be so jealous. You'll find that special puppy. I will to but unfortunatly its gonna be like 2008 before I get mine. :( When my husband deploys I go back to Oklahoma and then I'll get one. Though I'm not looking forward to my husband deploying I can't wait to get me a baby. :) |
Oh yeah one more thing! I've been looking on puppyfind.com and have found some great deals on Yorkie puppies. Some of them even have websites so you can look at the parents and get a good idea what your puppy will look like as a adult. Some of them even have a set price with shipping included. I saw two for like $600 and that included shipping. They were so cute! But really look into it when you buy on the internet b/c some people will just take your money and ruin. Look up what not to do when buying dogs on the internet and look up Fraudery when buying pups. I was looking into one not to long ago and they would've taken my money and run, but I read that thing and saw all the signs that are out there for people taking your money. They say never pay with Western Union and never buy over seas. Seriously read this before buying. Goodluck! I hope I've helped you some. |
I think all of us have felt that way at one point. It's very frustrating trying to find a responsible breeder, without paying WAY too much. I got my first one from a puppy mill, without knowing what a puppy mill even was. But after I seen him, I have to get him out of there. Trust me, I wish I could have had them all. It was sad seeing them running back and forth in their little crates. No socialization. But I'll tell ya, after time he has been a great dog, and hasnt had any health issues. But don't worry, your day will come. And you will be happy that you didnt settle. A friend of mine, went and looked at a pup, but it wasnt what she wanted. Sure it was cute, but she had her heart set on a few characteristics. Which the dog did not have. Anyways, take your time and research as much as you can. And you WILL find your new baby. I promise. :) Good luck! |
I've been waiting for like 2 years for my second baby, but my sweet 16 is coming up in May, and my parents promised me a baby:) Try starlightsyorkies.com a lot of people have good things to say about them. |

As little patience as I have when it comes to waiting....I always try to remember that good things come to those who wait. Yours will come and will be extra special. |
site Puppyfind.com has been renamed..Scam City...most ads are total scammers....be careful. |
Just a little pacience and everything will get sorted. Good luck in your search. |
Did you ask your friends parents where they got the puppy? Maybe there are more for sale, but if they got it at a pet store, then DONT do it! Here is a breeder in Miami. http://www.seasideyorkies.com |

seaside yorkies is teacup crazy and has NO PICTURES Of any adult dogs, just little tiny micro w/e pups stuffed in cups :( . as for my friend, They got her puppy for my friend who had a 2 puppy litter, they kept 1 and gave one to her family. |
there is a lady on here that lives near Tampa that has good sweet pups . I can't remeber her name though let me look. |
I'm so glad to hear that you're being patient and doing your research. Don't worry, you'll find your baby soon. It doesn't sound like you would use puppyfind or any of those places, but just an fyi... I don't recommend using Puppyfind.com at all...Majority of ads on there are scams. Almost 3yrs ago, I got taken by someone who advertised her dogs on there. She claimed to be a reputable breeder who had the parents on site, and healthy pups, blah, blah, blah (We later found out that she was a broker for puppymills!). Well, my baby, Miko, came to me with coccidia, heart murmur, upper respiratory infection, severe hypoglycemia, etc. Everything went away with a lot of dedication from me and my husband. Vets said he wouldn't make it, but he did! Months later, we found out that he has a liver shunt that's inoperable and bladder stones that will never go away because of his condition. He has to be on a special diet and medications for the rest of his life, but he should live a normal life on these things. He is like our child and we are sooo happy that he is in our lives. We can't imagine our lives without him. Who knows what would have happened to him if she would've kept him or sold him to a home that would have just put him down... Sorry to go off topic, just wanted to share that story so that you realize it's worth the wait to find a reputable breeder. There are several wonderful breeders here on YT. Hopefully, they'll post :) Good for you for being so patient! |

I believe Angieg0618 is a breeder down in your area. She has/had some girls for sale recently. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sho...27#post1015327 |
im feeling the same, i have bought my babys collar, and going to buy the rest of her stuff, but as yet, have done nothing but call breeders to find out information. and i havent found the perfect girl for me yet.... im willing to wait, just imagine how happy you will be when u have her... don't settle for something diffrent, you will want your ideal even more... so wait and your not alone! :) xx |
Thank you guys soo much for your support :) No, i dont plan on using puppyfind or pupmatch, i cant even buy shoes online if its not straight from the store, let alone puppies lol Im looking for a little girl, I love pink wayy to much to have a boy lol. I passed by a puppy store today "puppy paradise" or something like that, i went in and i saw all the puppies and when you really look at them they all looked kinda sick & smelled funny and how easy is it gonna be to potty train a pup that is used to going where it sleeps? omg and i saw this 6 month old golden retriever in the back in this cage that he was obviously too big for, luckily, a family bought him, they were pretty knowledgeable about breeders, petstores, puppymills and such but they just couldnt see him in that little cage. i felt like hugging them lol. they also had these TINY TINY chi puppies in empty AQUARIUMS! with no toys, or blankets, just some newspaper and a water bottle. i spoke to the 16 year old manager.. he tried to hit on me.. and then did nothing. so my boyfriend spoke to him a bit more.. firmly lol and he finally put some blankets in with the chis and gave the family a discount on the golden. :) WHY DO I EVEN GO INTO THESE PET SHOPS WHEN I KNOO THAT THEY UPSET ME?! |
im so glad they dnt have shops like that here in England, i couldnt turn my back on them and walk out! i find it hard enough not to buy a rabbit or guinipig in the pets at home store we have near here!!! i am terrible lol so i can understand how hard it must be for you, keep strong, and dnt buy one, your putting money back into the hands of the people who are doing this, and all they will do is use it to make more profit, its a shame... :( |
You will find the right one, just for you. It took me years to find Princess. Yes I was very picky, I looked in to sooooo many furbaby eyes, they are all way too cute! But the day I looked into Princess's eyes, was the day I found my Princess. There is hope, hang in there. When you find the right one, you will know it. Best of luck to you.;) PS. A friend just found a great Lab Breeder by asking our Vet. You might want to give that a try too;) |
It took me months to find Holly as well. I ended up finding a great breeder who was adopting a baby and finding homes for her young females she was planning on breeding. SO I got Holly and she was 6 months old and already potty trained. Now I am glad I waited because she is perfect for our family! The breeder I got her from is in the Tampa area but she does not have puppies....just 2 older females. They are both under 2 though. |
don't let anyone try to make you believe you MUST spend $3000 on a puppy to get a good yorkie! that is not true - i paid $600 for romeo and he is perfect. there are a few ladies here that have paid that price or a little more and they have beautiful healthy dogs, too. there are alot of breeders that just want a fair price for their dogs and are not out to make buckets of money because they know they can by just saying "yorkie puppies for sale!" please keep us posted on your search - i can't wait to see your post that you finally found your puppy!:) |

$6000!!!!! i found romeo not far from where i live - about 20 minutes - a little old white haired lady was selling them! :D she was as sweet as can be and said she just wanted a fair price for them and a good home. i had been looking for over a year when i saw her ad in the paper. other ad's listed them $900 and up to $1500. and romeo came with papers so i feel like we really got a great deal for him and so does everyone that sees him. |
im gonna end up trying the newspaper, it seems like alot of people find nice dogs that way. and im not looking for a show pup. also, there is something special about seeing a litter and meeting the mom and dad and picking the pup that you choose. also, im paying for the pup myself lol and high school salary isnt alot that great |
Yes, it's easy to walk out!!! Just keep in mind if you do buy a dog then it will just keep the millers in business and the poor little breeding moms in wire cages breeding at each and every heat and never seeing a Vet. When she can no longer breed she is shot. NOW, can you give money to those store owners and the millers and continue to let the other dogs suffer horrible lives. |
