My baby is coming tomorrow!! 1 Attachment(s) after a whirlwind of searching and searching, i finally found my furbaby.. he is coming tomorrow from texas, woohooooo. :rollingey He will be on the plane. So does anyone have any tips about brining a new furbaby home from the airport???? im a new mommy, so im a little nervous, any advice? :questione |

Congrats!!! Thrilled to hear you're getting your baby. Id bring a bottle of water, he will most likely be thristy from his flight. Also, a kennel for the car ride home with a soft towel or blankey inside. ( My opinion is it isn't safe for him to ride on anybody's lap) Maybe some paper towels "just in case"... Don't forget your hugs and kisses and keep us posted on how he is. |

Hey Schatzie, Thanks for the advice.. he is coming in a travel kennel/crate thing.. do you think that i need to get another one for him?? or can i keep him in that, after changing the towel or blankets in side? |

The crate he is coming home in should be fine. Keep in mind that it may be soiled from his long flight so you might want to bring something clean to lay in there. Also, bring a pair of scissors. When I received my pup via the airport, it was tied with those strong zip ties. I had to search all over the airport for a worker to cut the ties so I could get my baby out. I bet you are soooo excited! |

Pee In My Pants EXCITED!!!! I am sooo excited. I just found out about 15 mins ago that im getting him tomorrow, i didn't plan on getting him for another week or two, so this is a good surprise. I just posted one pic that the breeder had sent me in my first post. so now i gotta go run around, and make sure i have everything that i need for him.. he is 16 weeks old and 3 lbs!!! |

Sounds about right...Maximus is 14 weeks 3.3 lbs (he is a porker..lol), but I love him so much...it really is like having a child...I'm excited for you...remember to have nutrical on hand and have you decided what to feed?..Royal Canin, Innova and Blue Buffalo are a couple of good ones plus many others on this site have some good foods they feed their dogs..theses are just the ones I know personally |

Thanks for the support! well my breeder feeds him eucanuba (sp?) so im just going to continue with that. She also named him Hayden.. im not sure if im keeping that name or not.. I want to wait until i see him and get to know him. He Luzangela.. how big did your yorkie get if he was at 3.3 lbs at 16 weeks.. I hope mine stays around 5-6 lbs!! |

I picked up puppies 3 different times from the airport and was always told to bring baby wipes to clean any messes, pedialyte to give him to drink and nutrical in case they haven't eaten so thier sugar doesn't drop. It could be a long day of traveling for them even tho they are watched by the time I got them I couldn't think bout putting them back in their carrier. I hugged and kissed them all the way home as my husband drove!! Good luck and enjoy! I wish I was getting another! I was sooooo excited each time I thought I'd burst from waiting!!! |

Congrates and good luck. When we brought lexi home we were told to bring a blanky that smelled like us so she could get used to our smell as soon as she got home. It seemed to work, we also placed our shirts in front of the crate the first few nights just so she could smell us. |
