If this is your 1st time you may do better if you have someone hold him for you. they are slippery lil buggers. Oh! you can use the Peanut to trim foot pads....they just are so safe.

Help!!! totally off topic I know but I posted on other threads but no one has responded. My babies have been eating the recalled food nutro ultra :( :( :(

I checked upc # and it's the same - Should I take my babies to vet for blood work. They seem fine no symptoms but how soon can the symptoms show?

Someone just told me that they might not show up for long time:( :( :(

Anyone know?

Go on to the website and get a contact #. Do you have anything left. The contact # should tell you how to proceed. Don't panic, but you should probably err on the side of caution and take them in to the vet....at least I would.

no, they finished last can last wk. I just have the receipt from petsmart where I purchased. I did speak to someone about an hr ago from menu foods but they are only taking info and someone is suppose to call me back in 24 to 48 hrs.

I don't know if I should wait for them to contact me or do I go to vet tomorrow

The problem was the Wheat Glutten is what caused the problem with these foods. This is stuff is added to 'Forbid' the stuff used as a poop eating determent) and this product has caused medical problems with pets too.

:D :thumbup: :thumbup: Hannah's ears are still up and I'm so happy.. I do believe that the taping works.. I'll keep everyone posted..

Bebeyorkie... I would take them to the vet as soon as possible.. but that's just what I would do. I would be worried and wouldn't feel any better until a vet told me that my puppy was ok..

i'm glad her ears are still up. maggies have gone up and down but i think they will stay up now. she trips me out sometimes cuz she puts them down a lot, that is her submissive look :)

We did go to vet today but he said that they looked fine and I asked if we could do bloodwork but he said no because they don't have any symptoms :confused:

I'm not very comfortable - so I'm taking them to another vet tomorrow after work

I already knew they didn't have any symptoms but I have heard that they can get sick later even if they're ok right now.

Now I have to pay twice for vet visit :(

Aww sorry you have to spend so much.. they are costly , vet's aren't they ! But , your yorkie's are worth it. Hope all is okay.

Just a suggestion, but is there a possibity of getting a 2nd vet opinion?

Just returned from seeing a different vet - She totally recommended getting the bloodwork done and it was alot cheaper then what I other vet would've have charged. His fees were $75 per dog this new vet did $70 for both :D .

Their bloodwork was normal :D :D :D

Thanks everyone for your concerns - she still adviced that they get another bloodwork done in about 3 wks just to be on the safe side.

She also recommended Innova Evo dry does anyone use this?

I'm glad you got another opinion....does that mean you'll be changing vets?

Yup!!! I have to drive a long ways but it's well worth it.

Sometimes we make the decision on using a certain vet for convenience. I know when I 1st moved here that's what I did. A few things over the course of a few years required me to use my breeder's vet....It's a 26 mile drive, but well worth it. He's never misdiagnosed, aggressive in his treatments, doesn't hem and haw...you know those vets that say; we'll try this and see....and if it doesn't work we'll try that.... He doesn't over charge, doesn't require me to come in for every lil thing....He's breeder friendly, keeping me in supplies. The added plus is he doesn't make animal owners feel like idiots, when they ask the most simpilest of questions....

So, finding a vet that you can trust is a blessing.

I totally agree, this new vet is also about 25 miles away but that's where we will be going from now on.
