Iams and Eukanuba IS on that list...someone said it wasn't...look closely Here's the article that has the website of menu foods recalled http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/17650075/ |
I've been feeding my boys the Nutro Natural Choice pouch chunk food in gravy for breakfast for about a year now. :( But, I checked online, got the dates for the infected pouches and I didn't have any. Of course, it is possible that some that I have fed and thrown away were the recalled ones, but I don't think so since I bought them all together and my remaining pouches are not recalled. Needless to say I am throwing them all away!!! Rowdy is such a picky eater and only picks at his kibble - that's why I feed wet in the morning. I picked up some cans of Merrick chunks in gravy today and, hopefully, Rowdy will eat it tomorrow. They had scrambled eggs this morning :) This is really scarey - but thankfully they have not been sick and seem to be their normal selves! |
We've been feeding to dogs Iams dry? Is that OK? I freaked out when I saw it. We have a little container of Royal Canin that we'll feed until we figure this whole thing out. Royal Canin and Iams are the only dry foods they'll eat, and Royal Canin is expensive. |
i bought mine at the same time and the remaining one i have is dated december 15th 08 and its the yankee pot roast nutro gourmet pouch |
The full Iams recall list is on www.iams.com The website seems to be constantly busy but it seems as though, most of the foods are canned but I would still be careful about the dry kibbles too. I use Royal Canine and yes, it's expensive but better to be safe until all this is figured out! It will save you vet bills! |
