That's cute! Welcome I love lucy! Enjoy Yorkietalk! |
I'm so amused when I read the posts. So funny and cute. Well, Miffy's afraid of the vacuum cleaner, but she likes to sniff it when it's not switched on. Other than that, she isn't afraid of anything. Curious as a cat. |
Chachi's afraid of the vaccum cleaner. Also I think he's now afraid of our fat cat checkers. He loved to sneak up on her and bark untill she thumped him on the head a couple of times!!!! |
My Kelsey is scared of riding in the car and bigger dogs  |
tile floors Tile floors are the end of the world and you will fall off if you step on them... That is my Baileys my 3 year olds greatest fear (especially if they are shiny). The new puppy Brandy hates the cat and barks at her (The 17 lb fat girl is scared of the 10 week yorkie and hides or stays on top of tables and counter tops now)...lol They are so funny :) |
Penny's scared of everything that makes a sudden sound or moves. |
Still no fear of vaccum cleaner or swiffer from either one. Just Bailey has tile floor phobia... it is the darndest thing. The baby walks on tile like yippie, but Bailey cowers and sprals out like it is a cliff. So she has to be carried or both go in shopping cart...lol. |
Daisy wasn't afraid of anything,....until....we got our new refrigerator. It has an ice cube maker and it goes hiiiisssssss (water running?) and plop plop plop(ice cubes dropping into the tray). She is terrified of the noises it makes and runs away and tries to hide with her little heart pounding. The look on her face is sheer terror. She was scared to death of that thing for several weeks but now she has learned to live with it. I am soooo relieved. I thought we were going to have to get rid of it. |
Cody James is afraid of the wind.! and if we're on our walk and a car is running he will run. :D |

Riley isn't scared of that much stuff... Hmmm.. Well maybe the elevator. He FREAKS when I take him on it. Sometimes he barks at his shadow. Lol. |
Thunder I live in Hawaii and we recently had two very horrendous thunder storms a week apart. The first storm resulted in thunder that literally sounded as if it was right above the house. I was working and my husband was home and he finally had to go into the bed and put Murray under the covers he was shaking so badly. Exactly one week later we had another very bad windy rainy lightning/thunder storm and poor Murray was breathing very hard and again shaking like a leaf. It was dinner time and we finally took turns for dinner. He ate first while I kept Murray under the covers and then he came back and I ate dinner. He just turned a year old and this was the first thunder storm we had since we got him, so all of this was new to us. Our previous yorkie could have cared less about the noise, but this really seems to be affecting Murray. |
Bubble Gum BUBBLE GUM:eek:  TINKERBELL IS REALLY AFRAID OF BUBBLE GUM, WHENEVER I CHEW IT, SHE RUNS AND HIDES AND I CAN TELL BY THE LOOK ON HER FACE THAT SHE'S AFRAID:eek: :D :D SPECIALLY IF I POP IT:D |
Garbage bags. (Just Lexi) She hates when we change garbage bags. (I think it is the noise.) She just runs for the hills when we pull one out.:p |
Roxy is not scared of anything but the groomers. |
Hope, well, how about EVERYTHING! the wind, the door, the broom, the door, the puppy gate.. well, let's just say EVERYTHING and EVERYONE! LOL... Tootie, nothing really, just strangers until they are around awhile... d |
Conner is afraid of nothing, and that makes mama afraid!! He tries to ride on the Roomba vacuum cleaner and tries to bite the hose of the regular vac. |
Coby's only fear is the oven!! Just tonight, we couldn't figure out what was wrong with him - crying, cowering, pacing. Until my hubby remembered his fear of the oven while we were making pizza (ummm...... obviously, we don't use the oven much  ). I guess it's the heat?? I don't know, but he just hates it!! My 10 year old Shih Tzu has horrendous storm and July 4th phobias (which has morphed into camera phobia because of the flash/lightning). We've had to do tranquilizers and pressure therapy with tight fitting shirts (drawn from work with autistic children). |
Sorry - off topic........... Quote:
OT, but Ooooooh, you have a Roomba? Do you like it? |
Daisy is getting to be scared of EVERYTHING!.. I just feel so bad for her :( |
Teddi is scared to death of the vacuum! So I just don't vacuum much. I try to do it when someone else is here to hold her because if she isn't held she will get into the smalled ball she can and hide shaking in a corner...it is so sad to watch. |
Tatum - scared of everything. Stedman - scared of the vacuum cleaner and getting his nails trimmed. LOL  |
Not Much Johnny's not afraid of much. His biggest fear are the steps to the basement and when I bring him to get into the car through the basement, he stiffens up so I hold him tightly. Maybe he knows he's going in the car because he doesn't like the car seat either. He gets so scared, he poops in it so I crate him in the SUV but then he's way in the back. He doesn't mind the crate. It's that car seat and we're working on that. :aimeeyork |
We live right next to a fire hall, what was i thinking when i got this house, anyways they hate the fire whistles, i have both dogs howling and one baby crying,,, it's a nightmare when the whistles go off... :( |
I just love reading these stories. We need to flip to what crazy things does your dog love too. My Bailey goes crazy with delight whan WE take out the trash. We bag it up and she starts barking and spinning, walk outdoors to the patio and place it in the big trash can, then come back inside and she gets a treat. It makes her day she is so funny. Crazy huh? Also when i carry in groceries they are both rooting in the bags for treats/presents cause i buy treats or a new toy... |
Natalie is afraid of heights.... Cessy is afraid of EVERYTHING... and Gracie is FEARLESS!!! :p |
Sal is afraid of water, loud noises and the neighbors dogs in our yard. |
Chloe is afraid of the vacuum, and she is afraid of tongs. Yes tongs. When I'm cooking food or barbecuing and I use the tongs to turn the food, she runs and hides. As soon as she hears them click once, she's under the coffee table. |

My other guy tries to climb INTO the dishwasher to lick the dirty plates HAHAHA His fear is other dogs! He does not like other dogs. Wants NOTHING to do with them, makes me hold him the whole time another dog is around he hides his face under my hair so he does not even have to LOOK at the other dog! Luckily we dont encounter other dogs very often! My poooorrrr boys! |
Brownie is scared of the vacuum wire i dont know why but hes not scared of the actual vacuum |
Tucker is quite the scaredy dog. It's not so much objects that he's afraid of as it is places and sounds. He's generally afraid of any new place unless there is another small dog there. I've had him for 2 months and he's yet to venture into the dining room - the kitchen is as far as he'll go. He's also afraid of the vacuum, loud cars and riding in the car. And he hates being picked up..I think he's really afraid of heights because he buries his head in my shoulder as soon as he gets picked up. |
