I think this person is a troll. After I said fakes are illegal, she started PM'ing me nasty PM's..and had the nerve to say "U AND YOUR UGLY YORKIES"...

Looks like someone was bored on a monday afternoon and needed internet attention :confused: :rolleyes:

MAN ! :mad: What is WRONG with people ? what a rotten thing to say to you...but it shows what kind of person they are....I hope you sent that to admin - people like that need to be GONE.

Oh no, how hateful! I was going to reply to the OP nicely because I don't get crazy about hearing the word "teacup" -- I just think it means different things to different people, and since we have no official designation of teacup within the Yorkshire Terrier standard, it is a moot point anyway.

But anyone who says something like that about your adorable babies, is not worth responding to at all!!

after doing some reading on this breed i learned that there is no such thing as "teacup" either but it doesn't keep the people selling these dogs from calling them that! people that are not aware are sold! romeo is small and his parents are both tiny dogs,too. he weighed 1.8 pounds at his first vet appointment on the 8th and she told us he would get no bigger than 4 - 4.5 pounds. no one has asked if he is a "teacup" but i will make sure to tell them that this term is so incorrect!

:thumbup: :thumbup: I think that's why the word elicits so much response...So many Sellers use the word to command higher prices.....I can't count how many people were 'told' they were buying a 'teacup' and found out later they have an average sized yorkie.....but, because so many people don't know - it's good that it's discussed...

just correct him or her nicely and tell them how much a refered to "teacup" as newbies or sellers call them( actually a tiny dog is what you should properly say) usually costs.


they can range from about 1000 to about 10000
read up on it tho before you buy!
