I lost my dog's registration application that the litter owner gave me. How do I obtain another one? If you lost your dog's registration application and the dog was not yet transferred into your name, the litter owner will need to write to us requesting a duplicate dog registration. They will need to include the following information: *A brief statement that they are requesting a duplicate registration *Litter number, breed and date of birth *Litter owners name, address and signature *Sex of dog they are requesting the duplicate for *$15.00 processing fee (you can either pay by check or money order made payable to the AKC or by charge card. Visa, MasterCard and American Express are accepted) When the required information is received your request will be processed and a duplicate registration will be mailed to the litter owner. They will then need to complete the transfer to you on the back of the registration application. Please remember a duplicate registration application can only be requested by the litter owner on AKC record. For more information you can contact our Customer Service Department at (919) 233-9767. You can also e-mail us at info@akc.org. http://www.akc.org/about/faq.cfm?page=5 |

Your breeder has registered the litter so Haruka should have an assigned puppy registeration number and a PIN number once you get that from your breeder, you can register her on-line at AKC.org. See if she has a copy of the puppy registeration so you can get the necessary numbers. If she does not have a copy, get the registeration numbers for either the litter or the Sire and Dam and call AKC. They should be able to trace it for you With AKC parents, I'm sure you want her pedigree too. It would be a shame if you have to go with a different option since she has a heritage with the AKC. Good Luck! |
I was charged an extra $50 for Misha from the breeder for registering her. I never got anything back from the AKC. They paid the money, I sent everything in. It's been a year & I'm still trying to figure out what happened. I just registered Max on line. It went through with no problem. |

Even if you do not breed/show it is good to have their registration papers IMO - :p |
If you are not going to breed your dog the AKC registration is not really important. How do you guys feel about micro-chipping??? How much does this cost? |
Haruka is now 1 yr old.. and I still haven't received the paper work from the breeder... I thought I would give up.. :( I am having rough time giving up about registering Haruka :( So I hope that the breeder will send me the paperwork soon... |
All my babies are all AKC registered & i wouldn't have it any other way. ;) |

So, yes there is a point. If the paperwork was part of the agreement of the puppy's sale, we have every right to receive it and to send in a registeration. |
All i know is if you register akc , you get coupons off lots of good stuff:) and i love coupons and free stuff:D :D :D |
