Besides having my own I foster Yorkies. My rule I never leave them alone together untill they have been together for 72 hrs. It's not worth the risk. I have read to many horror stories from Yorkie owners. |

When I got Bobbi I stayed home for 1 week. However, that is not possible for everyone. I vote keep them separated until they get more acquainted. |

I am so happy for you.........congrats! :p |
I bet you're just sooo excited! I couldn't sleep the week before I got my 2nd furbaby (she's a maltese). You'll be able to tell whether or not you should keep them separated until you can spend time with the two of them. The most important thing is to make sure Coco doesn't feel left out. Miko has always been around other dogs and he's such a sweetie, but before we got her I was worried about leaving them together too. We brought Miko with us when we picked her up at the airport, and they totally took to each other :) Thankfully, I'm a stay-at-home mom, but I knew I didn't have to worry about them. Miko's 10lbs and she's only 3lbs, and he is just so gentle with her. Good luck! And Coco's such a sweetie, I'm sure she'll take to him in a matter of seconds ;) |
Food issue : You could see if they like a food like Natural Balance or Inova, then they both could eat it ! As far as working  i would be soo exited i would come down with a sudden illness ;) for a day or two  |
I would separate them for the first few days as well. Sissy loved having yorkie play dates and always got along really well with everyone else's pups, but when she realized Angel wasn't leaving, it was a different story. Angel has been with us 6 weeks now and I'm just getting to the point where I will leave them along together for short periods of time. I put Angel right onto adult food so we didn't have an issue. They get Solid Gold Wee Bits (which are much smaller than the puppy bites)! Congratulations!!!! |
