Please give opinion I ordered from Plush Puppy a week or so ago. Three days ago I got a package from them, but it wasn't mine. It was also wet and torn. Turns out the mailing stickers were put on wrong boxes and another person got my order. Here's what I want your input on: the company asked me to box up the products and mail them back to them (they would put the amount paid on my card). Ok, is it just me or that pretty poor customer service? I've had companies make mistakes like this before and they ALWAYS pick up the wrong item and sometimes give me money off or something free or tell me to keep the wrong item. I told them I had just had surgery and wouldn't be going out for awhile and they said that was fine - no matter how long it took. I asked them about it being picked up and they made more excuses. I really don't think it is my responsibility to find a box, pack it up and drive to the post office. I'm thinking of e-mailing them again... What do you guys think? |
Are they resending you your correct order? If so, I'd wait till it arrived and send them back the wrong stuff at your convenience:D If they're saying you have to send the wrong stuff back first - I'd email them again cause that would be terrible customer service:( |

I would call on the phone and speak with a supervisor. It's really easy to blow someone off via email, not so much "live";) I don't think it's right that they are trying to get you to spend YOUR time and YOUR money to send the items back. s**t, you could've just kept them and never said a word. You should be rewarded for your honesty. The very least they could do would be to send you a box and prepaid shipping label (if it's UPS, they'll come and get it from your house, I dunno about any other companies). It shouldn't cost you a dime, and it shouldn't cost you any more than 5 minutes to put the stuff in the box, tape it shut, and put the prepaid label on it. What's the status of YOUR stuff, btw? If they cannot do more for you, that would be a shame cuz I'm sure you wouldn't want to order from them after that:( Good luck! |
The status of my stuff.... they said they would see if they people who got mine would mail it to me. As I write this instead of just thinking it in my head, it is sounding pretty absurd.... I mean the people who got it could have used some of the product or (sounding really insane here) could have put something bad in the stuff, you know? I'm really getting paranoid now...:D |
Teri, post a link and I'll email them -- a prospective customer who is afraid to order because of poor customer service reputation. Of course I won't mention you, and your plight, but maybe they will realize how stupid they are being. |
Maybe at the very least they can send you a prepaid shipping label and packaging?? And also, I would demand that they send YOUR correct order NOW and that you should not have to wait for someone else to maybe mail your products back to them while you wait longer! That's crazy! |

I can't wait to hear what they say next, my GOD:mad: I'm sorry you have to have your hard-earned money tossed around like they're doing:( |
Eeewww, no way should you accept stuff from someone else. That is no way to run a business!!!! I would call them in the morning and insist they ship your order out immediately or refund your money! |

What a relief knowing it's not me being paranoid. I just don't trust anyone with my little babies, you know??? |
No way I would accept product from 3rd party. They may be nice people but there are too many other "not so nice" people out there..... The company should just send you the product and ask the other party to send back the product to the company if they really want the product back. But probably they shouldn't sell the returned item anyway so they should just take the loss and send the new produects to both you and the other customer, in my opinion... |
I just sent them an email -- short, sweet and simple -- here it is. Let's see if they respond :) I would be interested in some of your products, however, I have heard nightmares about your shipping practices and general business ethics. Can you please explain your corporate policy regarding shipping and lost and damaged shipments. Thank you Cindy Hice |
OK, I just e-mailed them again and we'll see what this one says before I call them. ;) |
THEY made the mistake - THEY need to ship your Items. I like Plush Puppy but have heard they're pretty hard to deal with. They normally have very fast shipping :( in this case...they need to fix their mistake and you shouldn't have to return a thing if your original order went to someone else unless they send you prepaid postage....but you need your original items first. They're running their business pretty rinkydink - I know they make a ton of money - their stuff is good - but expensive |
speaking (typing) of paranoia........WHY on earth would you want a perfect stranger having your ADDRESS???????????I'd suggest that THEY send you a new order......or the next correspondence will be from an attorney......and if they give out your address there will be a lawsuit |

Gosh, I never thought of someone else having my full name and address.. Hopefully we can assume they are nice people if they are spending so much money on their pooch. They ordered about 8 items! |
they won't have your address unless the PlushPuppy gives it to them.......I'd tell them they do NOT have permission to give out your name and/or address under any uncertain terms |
Would your credit card number be on the shipping order inside the package? Just a thought. |
:lol tears :eyetearss :teethysmi I have Teri's full name and address, and let me tell you THAT is scary. She never knows what she will get in the mail :) |

Awww, Aunt Cindy only send special things.... unless of course you're planning on showing up on my doorstep - in which case I better get cleaning..... |
Wow, that was fast. I just got a reply from them. They said my products will be coming directly from them. They said as far as what I received, they basically don't care if they get it back cause they are phasing out of Plush Puppy and when inventory is gone they won't carry it anymore. I thought Plush Puppy was all they carried? So, that is taken care of. Thank all of you for your encouragement to take action on this. And if anything weird shows up in the mail, I'll know who sent it:exclaim: :wavey: Thanks a bunch! |
Teri - I just got a response as well -- I don't know who you have heard from but most of our shipments go out within 1-3 days depending on if we are away at shows or not. We generally ship by Priority Mail. Our policy on lost and damaged shipments depends on exactly what has happened. We are selling these products off our website in order to deplete our stock as once it is gone we will not be selling them anymore. We still have a lot of product left and that is why we are still selling the products. We get at least 20 orders per week and have relatively very few problems. LOL -- just look out for weird unexpected "stuff" from Auntie :teethysmi |
