A friend of mine, who breeds yorkies, has been scammed.

A lady, claiming to be a doctors wife, purchased 3 yorkies with a check that was no good. Apparently she has done this at least with 4 other people. The checks were stolen approx. 5 years ago & did belong to a doctor. She has scammed breeders out of yorkies & maltese that we're aware of. So breeders beware!!!!!!

My friend talked with this woman several times on the phone & she sounded totally legit. She claims she wants 2 pups & then when she comes to look at pups, she decides to get 1 for her mom too. Her phone is pre-paid so she can't be traced. The police have been called in on this scam but don't hold much hope of scammer being caught. She seems to be working out of the metro Atlanta area. My friend called AKC to see if there was any way to catch her when she tries to reg. pups but they say there's nothing they can do. There are some scummy people in this world. She'll get hers one of these days!!!!!
