hehe I hope you can handle 3 yorkies! I have 1 yorkie and 5 large mix dogs lol and 2 ferrets, 2 snakes, fish, 6 horses, 2 cats.. hehe I even walk 3 of my big dogs and harley at one time! You can do it! I would definately vote to add another yorkie to your mix! |

When sitting in a big chair, but one on one side and one on the other. that way you don't have to divide your time. I think the older one is just sad. I think that when the pup gets to be a year old he/'she will calm down a bit and it will get better. meanwhile just give the older one lots and lots of love. I think it worked out better getting two new ones at the same time, because the puppies play with each other and leave the older 2 alone. |
:sidesplt: I'm sorry, but when I read a thread like this, I just smile! When you get the "fever" and ask .... next thing is the announcement "Surprise .... here's my new baby"!! :p Go ahead ... the more the merrier!! :) Wish I had the nerve .... when I get the fever, I visit my friend who has five at her house!! They are such a spoiled, happy little pack! We just throw Toto into the pack and they all play 'til their little legs can't run anymore! If I could, I would have a dozen! ;) Good luck with your decision, I know it will be a good one! ;) |

You might want to spend more time with your older dog and put them both on each of your side just as JeanieK said but your older dog still deserves that little more time to let the younger one know the older dog is still important to you. Sounds like the puppy is trying to gain leadership on the older dog and trying to be dominant and your older one is submissive. You got to gain control as both their leader and put the younger one back to its place. |
Hi, I had a yorkie and a pekingese and then added another yorkie and it made no difference. I'm ready for number 4 :p |
I have 2 yorkies and 1 shih tzu. I don't see that it is any harder. May be more expensive. I see another one in my future. Maybe another girl this fall. |
