My shihtzu, Emma, is in heat. Her and one of my other shihtzu's keep getting stuck together. Once the day before yesterday, twice yesterday, and right now. I keep telling Emma not to be such a slut, but she just doesn't listen. I would take pictures, but I don't want to post any doggy porn, haha.

I hope your trying to have pups! LOL! I wonder how many more times they've been stuck when your head is turned? yikes!

Maybe if you don't want them to "do it", you should lock one in a different room, just a though.

No, no puppies. All three of my males are neutered. So no damage done. Maddie, my yorkie, straddles her either on her back or stomach and rides her like a horse.

She wears a diaper in the house, but I take it off to go outside. That is when they do it. I don't care if they do it, i think it is kinda funny. I am planning on getting her spayed, though.

Is this her first heat? How old is she? My yorkie is alomost 6 months old and I am planning to get her spayed, but I am not sure when I should do it. The diaper is a good idea, I will remember that.

She is three, I thought about her having puppies, so I didn't do it. I had an appointment about a year ago and cancelled it. I don't think I will have puppies, though, so I am going to do it soon. I would want to keep all the puppies and I already have five, I don't think I need anymore. I would also have to find a stud, since I had my 3 males neutered before I got her.

I am confused to about how they are getting "stuck" if the male is neutered. I didn't know this was possible.

I was confused the first time this happened too. I called my vet right away and asked if maybe they botched Kobe's neutering job (the other two males have no interest in this). I thought maybe they botched it also because he is constantly marking his territory and neutering didn't help one bit (he's in a belly band for life I think

). They said some dogs still do it.

Sunnie went into heat the week Rocky was neutered. He still had stitches and he was trying to help her out.....till he smelled food......oh,

momma made a roast!!!!! She wasn't very happy in his new lack of concentration. They try even if they're neutered.
