Hello

I Live In The Uk And Have Always Worried About Spiders.... Luckily We Dont Have Them Like You Do Over There In Usa, Etc.

What I Cant Figure Out Is This - If You Take Your Babies Out, Isnt There A Chance They May Get Bitten By A Spider? Or Even Indoors As Well.

Harvey Used To Try To Get Any Spiders He Finds In The Garden And Kill And Eat Them (if I Cant Stop Him In Time That Is). And That Is Bad Enough, But They Cant Hurt Him Like Yours Can - And They Are Big Big Big Over There Too Arnt They.

Can You Tell I Am A Little Afraid Of Spiders..............

Hon, you'd have panic attack if you lived where I do. Late in the evening in the warm months, droves of spiders the size of quarters and half dollars appear on our road. It is so creepy, and Jazz gets so intent on chasing them, I no longer walk at dusk anymore, although that is the best time of day to walk. :eek:

I will take a spider over a bat any day....we lived in northern UK and bats came down the chimmey all the time..one got on my bed pillow and in my hair..
I have been bitten by a spider at the pool here in Florida..wasn't poisonous and only strung a second...the dogs have never had a problem...but in MD mine licked toads a few times and made them foam a the mouth....

I Have Never Seen A Bat At All Where I Live - That Would Freak Me Out Too - Guess I Am Just A Big Baby Really.

Some years ago, I was driving my Blazer (in east Texas) when a small spider dropped down right in front of my nose from the sun visor. I gave the truck to the spider. Exited immediately while it was still going. Thankfully, it wasn't going very fast and it (the truck) ended up in one ditch and I in the other.:eek:

Oh My God, that is so scary. :eek: :eek: :eek: I am so afraid of spiders Boy, I could never live in the south.

Where in the world do you live?

When my youngest grandson was about five years old, he was coming to visit with me for a while from New Jersey to California. He expressed a concern about spiders where I live. I told him that we didn't have any more spiders at my house than he has at this house.

Our home was had recently been built and we hadn't lived here long. It was a newly developed area. Not long after we arrived back to my home, we had a spider migration from the fields behind our house. They were all over everywhere!! So many spiders you couldn't take a step without stepping on them. :eek: :eek: :eek: and then some more eeeks! They had no food source and so were cannibalizing each other. I nearly lost my mind over that little episode. Thank God they didn't get inside the house!!

Needless to say, I lost credibility with him for a while after that. :(

I am scared straight of spiders:eek: but in Ny there are some that are huge. I have learned that believe it or not spiders are good.:p In the gardens they kill the bad bugs that destroy the flowers and fruit and in the house they kill the bad bugs that can hurt you or happen to creep in. I have a basement and sometimes when it's hot bugs get in(I am a clean freak) . So now when I see a little spider in my house I usually don't kill it:D even though I have a heartattack and a nervous breakdown:D

Im hecka scared of spiders but in my house we have a few daddy long legs and uaually i kill it but sometimes not. lol

I'm very arachnaphobic..I can't even kill a spider because I'm so afraid of them. The few times I attempted too, I grabbed way to much tissue (didn't want them getting through the tissue to me) and when I went to flush it, well I clogged the toilet. I never even really thought of Rocky and spiders, except I don't like him to play with them (YUCK!). I don't even like to think of spiders, let alone Rocky with spiders.

ok..here is another spider story to share. As you can see we live in PA and one day I went to the barn to get the mower. On the side of the grass bag there was one 8" round. I was in shock...it was big and brown and hairy :eek: So I just ran the other way. I thought these type of spiders only lived in the amazon.
