OMG -- an 8-inch spider?! I think I would have had a heart attack on the spot. Reminds me of the "Annie Hall" scene where Diane Keaton calls Woody Allen to come over in the middle of the night to kill a spider ... he goes in with a tennis racket and tells her there is "a spider the size of a Buick in your bathroom." |

I live in south TX, but once, while visiting my grandparents in north TX I stepped on a tarantula, BAREFOOTED! It scared the heck out of me. Something about the legs creeps me out cause crabs creep me out in the same way. |
I am fine with spider. I just cant stand a big june bug or any flying insects, flying anywhere in the same room as me. |

I can't squish a spider or any bug for that matter because of the crunch factor.....so in our house we have a small vacuum that is used for that purpose..if any one sees a bug we say.... "WHERE'S THE BUG SUCKER???...there's probably a bug war going on in that bag... Sometimes I'm afraid they will crawl out.....my husband hates spiders also...so when he's in the garage & he spots one he will grab the shop vac...then he'll suck up rocks or oil dry after the spider to make sure the spider gets clobbered  |
I don't like crawly critters of any kind! My husband and I lived in the middle of a farm. Woods everywhere and hay fields in front of the house. He was on the farm one day and I saw a scorpion on the carpet in our bedroom. I freaked! I literally jumped across the bed and grabbed the closest spray can I could find. It was HAIRSPRAY! When my husband came home, I was sitting in the middle of the bed, had sprayed the whole can of hair spray, and had turned the scorpion into a statue. (I would NOT get close enough to pick it up, scoop it up , or anything else) After a few years, I wasn't afraid of spiders anymore. I battled every kind of spider you can think of out there. But when it comes to snakes:eek:  ............................... |
