Lily used to lay on my shoulder every night when we were sleeping. She also doesnt like when my husband or me are in a different room with the door closed. shell whine and try to get in. but when we open the door shell walk in, see what were doing and then go about her business lol |
buddy wont play with his toys in the playpen...but time i let him out he puts his squeaky toy in his mouth and runs out so i can play with it...but when i try to take it he runs with it and plays with it like he's inlove with it. thats his favorite game...keep the toy away from my owner... and also he wont go outside if it is raining no matter how bad he has to use the bathroom. i have to run with him outside and he will go under the truck and run back inside like he's being chased by a monster. |
When Jasmine wants to chew a bully stick she will first go and find her orange stuffed toy dragon and the take it to the den. Next she gets her bully stick and balances it across the toy dragons back so the bully stick stays in an "up" position for easy chewing. Another thing she does, when she wants to sit on the recliner with me....she will always go to the right side of the recliner and scratch on the side to get my attention. The second that I look down at her she will then run to get her little orange dragon, so that when I lean down and pick her up I pick up her dragon too. She has several toys, but this little orange dragon is like Linus's blanket was too him, she adores it. One more thing, I enjoy the Internet, however Jasmine disapproves of the time I spend on my IPad. When she has had enough she will come up from behind my IPad and rest her little head on the top of it, looking straight at me, and give me her "enough already" stare. Then it is time to put the IPad away because it is Jasmine time. Yorkies Rule!! |
These are all so cute! I can't wait to spend years and years with Luma and learn her little quirks. When she's all riled up, she barks, but her back feet kick behind her repeatedly. She groans in her slleep. She wakes me up every single morning by licking my eyelids until I open them. When she is excited she spins in three circles, always three. At the dog park she has a specific tree stump that is hers, and she will protect it. Only mama can sit there, not daddy. |
Oh, another thing..idk if this is a Yorkie thing in general, but when she wakes up she stretches forward, then backward. Like a kitty :) Shes also taken to sleeping on the back of the couch or on the arms. |

My little guy will go get a toy and take his paw and bat my hand or put the toy near my hand or bring it to me and whine because he wants to play it is so cute. |
Elvis baths himself like a cat...if he gets the urge and one of the others is asleep, he'll sneak in cleaning them too. Took some effort to keep him from cleaning myself and the kids. We figured out if we blow at him he wigs out! He has to roll or rub gis paws over his face and "fro" his hair lol! Princess eats random things, like everything. She also climbs like a monkey. Scoobers...ugh the list if things he does that aren't weird, is much shorter. |
I noticed this about Mandie the other night. My hubby and I call her our drunken pirate. (the pirate nickname is because of her always saying "arrrr, arrr")... She will walk down the hall and lean agains the wall (and any door along the way) as she goes down. Then, she will come back up the hall..on the other wall..leaning against it the whole way. Also, in the kitchen, when she walks past the fridge, she will lean against it as she walks. It's like she can't stand up straight..like she's drunk! lol |
What is it with yorkies & being on the toilet, LOL? Lexie has to sit between my feet with her back facing me, and then stares at me over her shoulder. It's so cute! If I look at her, then she rolls on her back for a belly rub, but only when I'm on the toilet! |

My pup zooey won't move with a dress on. Shell just fall asleep. Been like that since I got her. Spoil her so much with clothes, and I think she hates them. My boy loves clothes and being brushed since day one, but no not my girl. And I'm such an addict shopping for them! |
Tibbe is the only dog I've ever had that likes to play hide & seek. He'll hide his chew chip and then come to tell me, urging me to follow him with his eyes and body movements and then he stands behind me as I go around the living room and front bedroom looking for the one he's just hidden. He won't rush to get it when I get near finding it. Once I do, I jump around with the chew and he does too! Then he wants me to throw it, him run and get it and start the hiding, seeking, finding, throwing all over again. He will do this until I give up! But he most definitely goes from place to place in the living room or bedroom until he finds just the right place to hide that chew and it's always a different place than from when he last hid it. And once he's hidden it, he comes running to get me. He only hides chews in the front part of the house, never down the hall & into the other bedrooms or that part of the house. |
