What commands does your baby know Skippy knows stay, and no. I'm trying sit, but haven't had any luck with it. Does anyone have some help with sit? |
I taught Momiji "Sit" on her meal time. I make her sit before she eats so now she is down with "Sit" command. I also taught her to "kiss", "Let's go out" (she jumps in her carrier), "Shake hand". I am still trying to teach her to "Leave it". (So she won't pick up anything disgusting when we go for walk!!) |

slightly backwards above his head and he should then go into a sitting position;) Repeat this a couple of times and then don't do it again until later. If they become bored with the lesson you won't be able to hold their attention. Good luck Carol & Buddy |
At just over 13 weeks, Tia can do "touch": I kneel in front of her, get her attention, then swing one arm out to my side, palm facing her and she will scurry over to touch my palm with her nose. She's really good at "You Pee!", but "You poo!" Is a work in progress! We're working on "Bed!" for her to enter her crate. We're also working on "Watch me!"....getting and maintaing eye contact while I touch my nose with my index finger. She is learning so much! However...she seems to be regressing when it comes to coming when I call her name. We've only done 1 class of puppy kindergarten at Petsmart...can't wait for the second one! |

Hannah knows "sit", but she wont do it unless I have a treat. She knows "lay down", and she knows "stay there". If I open the door and tell her to "stay there" she will stay unless she sees my lab puppy Diesel outside-she just can't control herself...LOL. She also knows "no" and she will stop what she is doing when I say it. She definetly has a mind of her own though-I think it is a "yorkie thang" |
Maggie was a perfect student in Obedience Class. She sat/walked/stopped/come on command but when she's at home. She does want she wants when she wants to. She is our wild child. |

Wow, I'm impressed with all the commands you've taught your furbaby. Did you learn how on your own or thru classes? I will be getting my Yorkie next week and I want to start her our right: she is 12 weeks old. |
Hmmm...the boyz are getting better so let's see... they know: drop it sit stop time to go nite-nite hurry hurry go pee-pee go potty let's go outside are you hungry? (they run to the kitchen and sit on the rug) get your toy go see Dad go see Mom go to your room go to your window you want a cookie? let's go who wants to be first? (that's for bath and brush time, one will run away so the other one is first!) and when they're on my lap I say 'Mom needs to get up' and they'll jump up from a dead sleep and jump off my lap. They know some others but that's all I can think of right now. |
Tetley knows... Sit Lay down Stay Heel Give paw Wave Come Kisses I can't wait to teach Bang Bang! LOL But so far he refuses to roll over when he's lying down. |

WOW. Some of your babies sure are talented! Brissy knows alot more than she lets on because she forgets to pretend she doesn't know stuff then responds correctly. My hubby taught her to spin n speak in one sitting. How old are these talented babies and at what age did they master the commands? Any tips on the fun stuff like bang bang, ect? |
Joey knows these commands: sit down stand stay (in all 3 positions) settle come wait okay (releases him from a stay, wait, or a leave it) heal walk nice bang, you're dead spin look touch finish away off find it that's all (no more work/treats) leave it drop it go see get your toy get your bone hand it to me go find Mommy/Daddy/2 boys kitchen (as in "go to the...") go to jail ( ) - the laundry room up close go through (my legs) over (hurdles) up (into the car or on to the couch) come see Mommy (jumps/climbs up into my arms when I'm standing) where are you supposed to be? (down/stay on his bed during meals) rings a bell to go out go potty show me (what you're barking or whining at) quiet (usually works) working on "crawl" & "take a bow" There are other phrases he understands but those are all the commands I can think of. |
