i taped maggie's ears when she was 11 weeks old (if i remember right) and they stood up for a very long time. but as soon as she lost most of her teeth and they started growing back in, the ears flopped. i taped them for a day to see if they would come back up and they didn't. still floppy. i was told to leave them in for 3 days and see what happens. so i will probably do that, but if they do not stand this time, we will just leave them floppy. I really like the classic "yorkie" look so I want her ears to stand...but if they have to stay floppy, then so be it...she is precious and perfect to me either way. here is a pic of her down, and up. and they were REALLY up :) for quite a while...now they are half up, the tops laying down. kinda cute tho :)

My Jada's ears never stood up, but its ok, she looks cute anyway..Here's a pic...

I love them with floppy ears and made the decision not to tape Tank's so they would stay floppy. If I took some more of the hair of that weighs them down I think they would still stand at least some what. He's 14 months old. Here's a pict of him and his floppy ears.

My lil girl is 8 months old and has floppy ears too, they stand up once in a while. At first I wanted them up and have tried to tape up too but my boyfriend says she looks cuter w/ them down. So I just let nature take it's course and most of the time they are down. But I love her either way. Here are some pics.

YOU KNOW WHAT IS WEIrd though i noticed, my baby lost all the hair on her ears now, i took her to the vet and he told me that is heridity. So she has no hair on her ears, i dont see anyone's Yorkies with no hair on there ear. I wonder why shes like that, she had alot of hair on her ears for the first 7 months. She's a year now.

I think it is soooo cute with the little floppy ears..I love seeing babies with those.

Brownies 5 and when he was little i didnt know to shave them but i look at pics from then and they were going up now its to late but i love them floppy

omg yours looks just like my yorkie and he's gonna be 1 year old! ears hair and all! lol! i had to give mine a short hair cut like yours because his hair had knots, thats what happened when i left my boyfriend with him. My poor baby! everyone thinks he's not a yorkie.

I have a floppy eared yorkie too. I think they are so cute with floppy ears. Toto will be 2 years old on March 2. He can hold his ears up when he wants to.

I have a floppy eared dog and one with em up. Then my newest puppy hers were starting to kinda go up, but struggling to stay up, so I taped em and 2 days later, they are up.

13 weeks is still plenty young enough to help them stand. I went out and bought the breathe-rite strips and eyelash glue to help. You just have to add the eyelash glue to the back of the breathe-rite and afix them inside the ear where they are folding over. But first you need to shave the ears. Sadie had a lot of hair, so I shaved front and back of the ear. I decided that was enough on her for one day and planned to put the strips in the next day. Instead, they were standing perky and pretty on their own the next morning. They are still standing.

I think they are all cute -- but I picked a Yorkie for the Yorkie look. So, I wanted their ears to stand as they should.

this is weird though i have noticed that most of the yorkies with a teddy bear face have floppy ears and the dollfaced ones dont, they have ears that are up. Is this common? does anyone know what i am talking about?
