Anyone else have a darker yorkie..? 1 Attachment(s) My Gizmo is all black. Except for his eyebrows, around his mouth, chest, and legs... he is WHITE on his chest.. I know he is going to change but just wondering if anyone elses puppy started off like this and got lighter.. I will love him no matter what but just hope to see more brown soon.. he is 13 weeks! |

You should be able to tell if your little one is going to change by parting the hair and looking at the roots. Both of my babies started lightening on the head first then around 6 months my girl started tuning silver on her back but my boy stayed black. Gizmo was really silver and she is 3 years old now and in the last 6 months seems to be getting darker again her roots are almost black now on her back. What color were his parents? |

Jazz's body is still black and he's 2. He never turned blue.:( But I love him just the way he is. |

thanks! I can't wait until it grows more.. I brush it when he lets me lol.. he is truly a boy.. doesn't like clothes, brushes, baths, or anything.. so i definately have to keep the hair short |

I girl is dark and my boy is blue... 2 Attachment(s) My babies are siblings, from the same litter, and are 30 months old now. Ceasar is going blue and Cleo is still dark all over her body and very rich tan around her face. I love both colors.:) Of course...;) |
My lil Elle's coat is still pretty dark. Her dad had the black coat still and that was what I wanted. But I wasn't sure if she would stay black or not. Anyways, She has a lil grey by her legs other than that she is black and tan. I love it! |
3 Attachment(s) I have one of each coloring. My newest Yorkie is Starr, she is my black baby! She was black when I brought her home and is still black. The only changes are the fuller coat and of course the lenght of her hair. I think she will stay black, she appears to have the manorisms and coloring of her Daddy her parents are shown with their coloring on the next post |
