Wow, poor little guy. I hope he has a speedy recovery, and glad he's home safe and sound! |
Poor little Cubby, this just breaks my heart to hear. I will pray for this little one that he recovers quickly and does not loose his eye. How terrible that this had to happen, so very sad for you all. |
[I] am so sorry to hear Cubby is not out of the woods yet; but he sure is lucky to be back home with his family that loves him. Animals adjust so easily to the loss of an eye, or a limb; but the loss of the ones he loves would have been too much for the little guy. You said he lost weight, how much does he weigh now? You are in my prayers, both the thank you God side, and the please be with them side.:2puppy: :2puppy: :2puppy: |
I asked Nancy if I could post a photo of Cubbie and she said I could go get one off her bulletin board. I will post it later this afternoon. She said the eye looks a little better today. (She thinks.) |
:hands: Prayers are on your way Cubbie |
Here's Cubbie 1 Attachment(s) Here is a photo of Cubbie and his young mistress. Isn't he a cutie? |
What a cutie! Love the floppy ears.:D Is this the girl that was so devistated when he was gone? Bless her heart; I'm so happy they're back together.:) |
So does this mean he is better??? |
Cubbie's eye looks a tiny bit less red every day and he continues to focus and be able to see out it. He also has eye drops of some kind. The picture I posted is a few months old long, before Cubbie got lost. The girl in the photo is, indeed, the one that was so sick about him being gone. Cubbie's usual (chunky) weight is around 18 pounds, and he lost 5 pounds so that puts him at about 13 pounds. Like I said, he was chunky enough to go a few days without food. It is the dehydration that beat him down. Plus I think the car injury was very fresh when he was found. I think that answers all the questions. If not, I'm sorry. The coach of the baseball team has called a couple of times to check on Cubbies progress. Since the team wouldn't take a reward Nancy is going to throw them a pizza party and have everything delivered to their house. She is planning on attending a few games with Cubbie in tow this Summer. I know I keep saying this over and over, but I can't thank everyone enough for all of the prayers. I know that prayers kept Cubbie alive and brought him home. I have no doubt that they will also save his eye. You all rock! :ghug: |
Thank you so much for the new update on Cubbie. He is just adorable with his floppy ears. What a cutie. I hope his eye heals nicely. Thank heavens he was a teapot Yorkie to begin with. Having that extra body weight certainly kept him going for a few days. I hope he is comfy and cozy back home. Prayer's coming for you Cubbie for a complete recovery. From one Teapot to another. Hugs, Carol & Buddy:aimeeyork |
Poor little love, prayers from me and Jamie for a full recovery!!! |
Your doing such a super job with all this information and now updates. You are a great friend to Chubby and his mom. I'm glad to hear there may be a chance he does't lose his eye. Bless his heart. |
Your updates are so appreciated! I'm glad the Baseball Rescuers are getting a pizza party...I still can't believe they wouldn't take anything from Cubbie's Mommy! I bet Cubbie will be a star when he goes to the games this season. They should get him a Chicago Cubs baseball jersey to wear. :) CJ |
Aww, I'm glad to hear Cubbie is improving. He's such a cutie, love the pic! Thanks for keeping us updated. |
I've followed Cubbie's saga, but never posted. I'm SO glad to hear that some angels found him and returned him home, and that he's recovering! His young owner should NOT feel guilty about that happening...it has happened to so many, and could happen to ANY of us at any time! |
