Why can't people just be nice??? Tinkerbell is not a dwarf!!! So today was our vet day visit, everything went well, I found out Tinkerbel is not 3 1/2lbs, she is 5.1lbs which is good:p. There was this woman there and she had a loud dog and she was even louder:mad: she had the nerve to say "oh look a little dwarf dog":confused:. I then said no she is not a dwarf she is just the right size for her breed:mad:. I think she was jealous because everyone was telling me how cute Tinkerbell is:p |
They say that ignorance is bliss. Perhaps you should have asked her if she was feeling blissful.:D |
A dwarf! That one takes the prize for sure. It certainly is different than the usuall. What is it, or why is it so small, or why is it so big questions. I think it's kinda cute. I had some guy ask me when I was at the vet's office whether my Pebbles was one of the "tiny" yorkies... I said "no, she's 5 pounds". He had a 10 pound yorkie with him. I think some people's perception of small is different....:confused: |

oh man dwarf. i've never heard that one before about a yorkie if you want to hear a bad one, one time when mika was a puppy i was walking her and a man came up to me and said "is that a dog or a rat" i felt like punching him in the face right there lol |

Some people just don't know about smaller breeds. I think I'd rather get "Dwarf" instead of "She's a YORKIE??? She's HUGE" which I get in several variations about Jazzie. When we still had Jewel (3.5 pounds full grown) we got - "Is she the baby" when I had both of them together. Then I had to explain the reason for the size difference... What can one do but to educate on how wonderful Yorkies are. We had friends over and when they met Jolie & Jen one guy called them Guinnea Pigs! It was however said in a fun teasing way. But the lady at the vet's office sounds like she was just being nasty. |
You plant Peas you get Peas.... what do they expect... if you are only 5"1 ... it is only natural your baby would be small too... I am 5"2 and I love Yorkies... ( hummmm maybe that is why... ) |
