Product Disappiontments List the grooming products you have not been very happy with and the reason why?:animal36 |
Pure Paws shampoo and Conditioner - I bought it at a Dog Show and didn't like it at all - lucky I only bought samples:) .....a friend spent $90 for the whole line and didn't like it either...when I bathed the girls in it - their hair looked dry and they itched so I just tossed it out |
I use to use Chris Christensen shamooo and conditioner. I just got Biogroom shampooo and conditioner and like it alot better. I use to use miracle coat detangler and like Johnsons no more tangles better. |
This isn't really a grooming product, but I was very disappointed. The vet suggested this to help Summerlin with her itching, so I paid $14 for it at Petsmart. It's called DermaCare Anti-Itch Spray for Dogs and Cats. I put it on Summerlin and she still scratches. I don't believe it works at all, and I will be returning it to get my money back... |
Another thing I didnt have alot of luck with but other people like is cowboy magic. It leaves Jewels hair gunky. I like deep condioning the hair better. |
I have the Biogroom oatmeal shampoo and conditioner. There's nothing wrong with it, but I'm just not impressed with it. I'd like one that would leave her hair more shiny. Still looking for the perfect shampoo/conditioner. |

Try the biogroom bronze luster. It is a color enhancing shampoo and it left Jewels shiny |

Same here! I cannot use it on Bobbi because he will look like I poured grease on him.......weighs his hair down and I used the size of 1/2 a pea for his entire body  It works magic on MY hair though.........I bought a big bottle and I ain't about to throw it out :D |
I've been using Four Paws Magic Coat Tearless Shampoo w/Sensitive Skin For dogs & puppies as for a conditioner I use infusium 23. Seems to be working for my 3. My groomer recommended it. |
I also did not like Chris Christiansen shampoo and conditioner much. I do love their brushes though. |
I use a livestock shampoo called clear choice it is wonderful. It is shampoo and conditioner in one. |
I use infusium 23 on my furbies and really like it. I had purchased speciality detanglers for pets and I think the Infusium 23 does just as good and is a lot cheaper. |
I don't care for the cowboy magic shampoo and conditioner.I t leaves their coat dull and doesn't have a nice smell to it. I love mink sheen. It leaves them shiny and smells great. It reminds me of a manly cologne like Drakar. I ran out and ordered more hope I get it this week. here is a link to it. Its is a big fat bottle for 12.95 or you can even order a sample for 2.95 and everything they say about it is true. It doesn't leave them dry after frequent shampoos like some do.http://www.touchofmink.com/prod_details.asp?id=15 |
I tried some Oatmeal shampoo from Petsmart and hated it. It made Ferdinand's skin more dry. I bought some natural dog shampoo for dry skin at Sprouts a few weeks ago and love it. It's called Head to Tail Aloe Oatmeal Shampoo. I use it with the Mane and Tail Conditioner (but I rinse it out or it leaves Ferdinands fur nasty). The combination leaves his hair really shiny, soft, and smelling nice for a week. It's also helped with his dry skin. Here's the link to the shampoo http://www.onlynaturalpet.com/produc...oo/133024.aspx |

It has a coat condtioner in it. I use no more tangler and cowboy magic with it. I also noticed when I used it the matts were alot less. QUOTE=TatumsMom;948771]What do you use with the Mink Sheen as a conditioner?[/QUOTE] |

I don't really care much for the cowboy magic shampoo or detangler. They work well, but leave the coat looking dull. But I REALLY like #1 All Systems Super Cleaning and Conditioning Shampoo. It leaves their hair very shiny!! Sometimes if they are really tangled I will use Aussie Moisturizing Conditioner (for people). It makes them smell so good and the smell lasts and lasts. |

I don't really care for cowboy magic. Used it twice and it was way too greasy, it was like applying baby oil on Zoe's coat. |
I tried both cowboy magic and showsheen; both left Itzi's coat so greasy. I use Ice on Ice for the mats. And I love the Christensen's brushes too. |
Well I tried the CC ice on ice and I am not head over heals for it. It works fine but it makes the coat dull. I just bought the Paul Mitchell shampoo and conditioner. So far the conditioner I don't like. It does leave the feeling of condition after the use. I haven't tried the shampoo yet. Cowboy magic is ok but makes the skin flaky. So I will stick to what I feel works best for me which is LaPooch shampoo in combination with Mane and Tail Conditioner and #1 ALL Systems get it straight for coat oil. |
I was disapointed with the Cowboy Magic. Maybe because Lillie is so hard to brush her...She HATES being brushed! I tried putting a little and I tried putting alot in her hair but, just couldn't seem to get the matts out. |
Ice on Ice just did not work for me. I finally got this stuff my groomer special ordered and I really love it. |
Bumping this up for others. |
