*UPDATE* Lexi's surgery 2 Attachment(s) I have a pile of blankets on the floor in the living room where her and I are camping out tonight. On it is 2 of her beds, and next to my pallot are is her wee-wee pad and water. I fed her a little cottage cheese, and in awhile I'll make her an egg. I am glad to have her home and glad she is OK but, I am a little worried. They said that she had a pain shot, and that she would be fine til morning, but she is acting like she is in pain. She is quietly whimpering. She didn't have to have any baby teeth pulled, Yeah!!! Here are a couple of pics(sorry they are kinda dark, I have the lights off, trying to keep it dark and quiet) |

You all are so sweet, I just called my vet(they stay open til 9 on surgery days) and they said that is she is still not moving at all and whimpering then to give her one of her pain pills. Anyway, thanks for all the hugs and many kisses, I'm going to go cuddle with my baby for awhile.... |
Look at that angel ...that is such a sweet picture ...They are just like little babies....I hope she gets to feeling better really quick - I know her mommie won't rest till she knows she's ok - that is truly adorable and I'm sorry she's hurting. |

Poor little thing.... I am wishing both you and Lexi a good night. (Actually, whacked out on drugs as she will be, she will probably have a much better night than you will. You'll lay awake counting every breath she takes!) The only good thing is that they seem to recover from these things amazingly quickly (considering they've had their guts ripped out :( !!!) Thanks everyone, she had a pain pill and is now sleeping without whimpering. I promised my vet that when Lexi recovers completely, I will not call her for atleast 2 weeks.LOL |
I'm so glad to hear she came through her surgery and is now home with her caring mom! Is she wearing a onesie? That is what I put on Maddie to keep her from licking her incision. Oh...sweet baby. Please give her lots of hugs and kisses from me and Sophia. Sophie will be having surgery in about a month or so and I am already freaked out about it. I know you are feeling the pain too. You are such a good mommy to camp out with her. God bless you!! I hope you both have a good night. Keep us posted on how she is doing. Im so glad that Lexi is home and all went well! I wonder if the shaking is just a residual effect from the anaesthetic? Im glad to see you are keeping her warm so she doesn't catch a cold! I am so glad to hear the sweet adorable little one is doing good. It breaks your heart though to think that they are in pain, my little girl was spayed last year and I felt so bad but she did great. Thanks again everyone, Lexi is doing much better this morning. I just wish I could get her to stop jumping. I even tried making her stay in her play pen, but that was even worse. She jumps up and down wanting to be right next to me, so I took her out and put her next to me on the sofa, and she kept jumping on and off it, so then I laid on our pallot of blankets, and put in a movie, but she still keeps jumping up on the sofa. Anyway, atleast she is doing better. Connie, yes that is a onsie, I also bought baby tee shirts. The onsies work great... Bitsy, that is funny. I told my husband the other day that Sophia and Lexi look so much alike, and he said maybe they are cousins. |

I bought new born. Lexi is 5 lbs exactly, and they are a tiny bit big. I wanted them a little big it wouldn't rub her boo boo and so that air could go threw it. I use the baby tees during the day when I can watch her, they are long enough to cover her belly but very convenient. |
Hi do you get the onesies in a special place? How is Lexi doing now? |
