Murphy, Mia and Miko. Sounds like it was meant to be. I am sorry you have to give Miko up but it sounds like you are doing it for the right reasons and I know that doesnt make it any easier on you. Maybe in the future you will have more time for a new little one.

You guys are so great! Thanks to all of you that have offered to stay with him, but honestly it is not just the house situation that is the problem, it's the fact that with are busy schedules we are not giving Miko the best life he can possibly have. He is truly a wonderful dog (sometimes almost human) and I love him too death, I mean who doesn't love that face ?(not because he's mine, but he's gorgeous).
Sims822257 I do remember you, and I know you live in Florida, so it sounds like it would be a good situation, because maybe I can see him from time to time. My cousin gave up Mia to A lady here in Florida and she has not been able to contact the lady, she calls her and sends emails, and the lady just does not respond. This is not what I want for my Miko, that is why I'm being so picky. I want to have communication with the person and know that he is ok. But thanks to all of you again, and for the people that live near me, please let me know if there is someone you may know that is "truly" going to be a good match for my Miko.

are you sure this is what you want to do? I know it must be such a terrible decision to have to make! Hun when I talked to my mom yesterday she said you had not called I really think she could help you out an she is close by. she breed for years and Knows how to do the checking out and all that She said she knew of a few people that would like to have him and love him forever.

He's absolutely stunning:love: I would love to have him,but would have to convince hubby that I need a boy:D The two girls love HIM best, poo!

Anyway, I'm in FL,but on the east coast in Stuart. Let me know if you haven't placed him and maybe we can work something out. I got my Izzy from Aubrey (ssmiles80) and she knows that I'm not going anywhere. I own my home and have had the same phone number for 15 years and the same email for about 5 years now. So I wouldn't duck out on you;)

Great News ladies!

My husband just told me last night, that the house may be ready as soon as 2 weeks! I'm so excited! We sat down and talked about it, and decided to wait on finding Miko a new home for now. We are going to wait to be in the new house and see how we are going to juggle everything careers,kids, and my little guy. I'm so happy for now, I'm not sure if the situation will change any later on, I will keep you guys updated on my situation. Thanks to all of you for your support, you guys are the "only" ones that would understand. Most people (non-dog lovers) think I'm crazy because I'm crying hysterically over losing my little guy.

That is wonderful news. I have been thinking of little Miko for days.
Actually I am glad I live far away or I would have requested adopting him.

Glad to hear that -- I was thinking when I first read your post, that maybe things were just little overwhelming right now. Staying with other people -- even good friends or family -- gets old real fast. I think it is a great thing that you are putting off a decision until you are in your own home anda good routine has been returned. Everything will look better then!

But if you do decide, even with the new home, that you are not giving Miko what he needs -- you know there are folks ready to help.

What about someone to come in during the day to walk Miko??? That eases our mind a great deal when we both have to be gone all day.

awww i just read this whole thread from beginning to end and thought about rehoming my babies and almost started crying, then suddenly it turned and you are keeping him! how great is that!

just like a sitcom

I glad you decided to wait and see waht happens. I know that if you would have given it away and later know that you could have managed to keep him would have kill you. You need to be very sure when taking this type of decision or you may regret it a lot. You can't get it back once he's gone. So, good for you! I know that if you really love him, you'll find a way!

Oh this is the best news EVER! I am sooo happy to hear that you decided to wait and see what happens. Sometimes our lives get really overwhelming and we make snap decisions that we may end up regretting later :( Once he is gone, he is gone permanently...so I am glad to hear that you decided to give it all a second chance before rehoming him FOR GOOD :) He really is truly, TRULY a beautiful boy! Congrats to you and BIG hugs to Miko! :hug:

I just read the thread...It's great that you decided to keep Miko, and I'm hoping things will get better and he won't need to be rehomed. I also think if maybe you added a doggie door to a fenced in area in the yard it would help the situation. Maybe someone can stop by during the day to play with Miko a bit ? Is there any doggie daycare he might go to 1-2 days a week? I'm sure he gets a lot of love and attention at night and during weekend, I keep my fingers crossesd so everythings works out!
