Breeder Shipping Dog On Wrong Date
 

Im so upset now
I want to throw
up and curl in
a corner & sob

I emailed the person
my boyfriend bought
my dog from to
make sure everything was
ok with his arrival on
February 13, 2007

When the breeder
(whatever he wants to be called)
told me that his paperwork is already set
for the 9th of February

Yet I emailed him two days after my bf
purchased him in full. Asking that he change
the date to February 13, 2007

The reason I changed the date
of his arrival is because my boyfriend
works on Friday, and cant pick me
or puppy up from the airport

(boyfriend and I are in a long distant relationship)

And im finaly moving to be with him

Now if the breeder wont change the date
my dog and I will be stuck at Nashville
airport till someone can pick us up
on Monday because Im not leaving
my puppy there alone.

So that's four days too earlY? How far is the airport from your house?

I am sure he will change it if you let him know. If that date is bad - just work together to find a better date for both of you all.

here is the email that you sent me stating the friday february 9th shipment. We have already made arrangements for the 9th and cant change it easily. If you want us to switch airports we can see about that for you. If picking up from nashville doesnt work for you on the 9th

With that said I forwarded the email that I sent asking could the shipment date be changed. And the confirmation that I got on the new date.

Maybe your boyfriend has a friend or family member that can pick you up. It is still almost 2 weeks away, I'm sure the breeder can change the date. Don't email him, get on the phone & tell him whats going on.

hun we can work something out maybe some one here can pick him up and watch him till you can get there?

YT TO THE RESCUE!!!!! You hang in there. These ladies can work miracles. If it can be done they can do it. Take a deep breath and they will either talk you through it or call for help. You came to the right place. It can be done on Yorkie Talk. I have seen it.

Girl I live 4 hours away from Nashville, but there are more on here that might live in Nashville, salesman, a couple more I know of one but I am going to have to go back and figure out her name....don't panic we will see what we can do....:)

Puppy is coming on Feb 9th? Will you be here? What do you need to have done? Do you want someone to pick up the Yorkie at the airport?


I must be tired it is not very clear what needs to happen....

I live near Nash. Depending on the day, because I travel with my job a LOT.....I will be out of town on Feb 6.7.8.for a Plan of Action meeting....lol....its what salespeople do...lol....

she is needing someone to pick her puppy up and keep it until she gets in town on the 13th. pup comes in on the 9th. I have offered to do it, as I live near brentwood and would be willing to keep the pup for a while. I just hope everything works out :)

I love how everyone came together to be there in Nashville for you and your new puppy! But -- this breeder should be more accomodating. I too, would get on the phone and speak to him direct. Ask if he got your forwarded emails asking and confirming the shipment date change. If so, there should be no further discussion. You are to get your puppy shipped on the 9th! Sorry if he has to change his paperwork, but that is what needs to happen.

Be firm! You need him to ship your puppy on the 9th as arranged. Hope he is not travelling far ....... it is soooooo cold right now, even in Florida.

I have to agree...this breeder should be more accomodating. he should not be concerned with his own feelings but what is best for the puppy.

I really do not mind helping, in fact, I am excited about it. but it just makes me so mad to think that someone is breeding these dogs for profit, and acting this way about it. He really does not seem to have the puppy's best interest at heart. I don't know all of the details, but from what I am gathering, it does not seem that he is being very nice about it. I'm sorry, but if I were breeding dogs...no matter what the breed...I would constantly be concerned with how the pups are doing and would never...NEVER.. under any circumstances...ship a puppy somewhere where the owner cannot pick him up. I mean..you say to the breeder that you are moving to a new state, the dog is being shipped to the new state you are moving to, and you will not be there until the 13th and he still insists on shipping the puppy on the 9th??? what a jerk! really...where are his morals?

sorry, I went off on a rampage here. I just love animals so much and it kills me to think he is acting this way with one of his babies. I just dont think you should be breeding unless you have a true passion for the animals and it just doesn't seem like he does. he has a passion for money. period. i am saying "he" but he or she...either way...is completely wrong here IMO.

again...I am so excited to help with this puppy. I think he looks like such a sweetheart and I am sure maggie will love having a puppy to play with.

I look forward to meeting his mommy as well, I am sure she will be releived to have him in her arms :)

We ship beagles all over the US. Once you tell us the date you want the puppy it is only a matter of minutes before we have made all the arrangements. it is very hard to change all those arrangements. so, i understand about the breeder. i don't mean to be rude or anything but for future reference, never tell a breeder a date then change it days later. it is up to you to get the puppy when you asked for the arrangemnts to be made. i hope you guys can work something out but this is not the breeders fault.

Sorry I didn't find this thread sooner. But if something comes up and the original person that has offered to pick up the pup and keep it can't, feel free to contact me. I'm in Bowling Green KY (only about 45 minutes from the Nashville airport) and wouldn't mind at all picking up and keeping the little one for ya till you make it down or whatever. Never hurts to have a backup plan (person). Let me know if I can be of any help.

It is wonderful how everyone pulls together to make other options available. Yorkie owners have such big hearts!

i am not saying it is the breeders fault...i am not sure exactly how things happened but how can a breeder ship a puppy when the owner cannot be there to get it. i understand if maybe the time of day is not good or whatever...that is different. but 6 whole days difference? seems like the breeder should be more concerned with the puppy...not with convenience. JMO but i can't imagine shipping a puppy somewhere where there is no one to pick it up. I would be doing all I can to make sure my puppy was able to be picked up by the new owner. it is very stressful for a puppy to change homes...much less flying, then going to a "halfway home" and getting used to that for 6 days, then going to ANOTHER new home. he doesn't know that I can be there to get the puppy...only that the new owner is in a different state for 6 days after the puppy arrives. just seems weird to me.

don't you have a coworker or friend who can help out maybe even a neighbor? hope it works out

please know that i am not trying to start anything...trust me...it is the LAST thing I want. I just get very passionate about these animals and hate to see stuff like this happen, especially when a breeder is being ugly about it and not willing to help. they should have more of a passion than I do if they are reproducing these animals and selling them to the public. don't get mad at me for feeling this way, I cannot help it. everyone is entitled to their opinion and I am aware that my opinion is not always shared by everyone. but sometimes people need to vent...that is all i am doing. I am certainly not expecting everyone to agree with me.
