| ![]() I am so excited! I went to see her yesterday, her breeder lives about 5 minutes from me. It was great. She is so sweet, and she loves giving kisses. She is almost 8 weeks and weighs 1lb.15oz. I can't wait to get her home. I am thinking about names...I like Reghan! I love it for a girl, and it sounds really cute with Roxi (Roxi and Reghan). I am picking her up on friday (she will be a little over 8 weeks). I am still unsure if it is too early, but thats the longest she can keep her. Her siblings are already gone (except for one who is being held until the new owners anniversary). I didn't get roxie until she was 13 weeks so I don't know much about bringing them home that young. She is weaned from her momma, and eating solid food (beneful). I plan on changing her over to something else once she is home. Also, any tips on introducing her to Roxi would be great. Roxi is a year old and about 10 lbs, so I am kinda scared to let her around the puppy while she is so small. I am kinda nervous about doing the whole puppy thing again. I feel kinda rusty! So any tips or suggestions would be great! Thanks ![]() |

| ![]() Congrats on the new puppy. I like the name reghan. got my Jewels at 8 weeks too. Your pup is a nice weight and I am sure she will be fine. Alot of people say to take them to a neutral place like a park to meet. I introduced mine at My house. We just petted Chachi while we brought Jewels out and let him sniff her. We never did separate them and Jewels was real tiny only 12 oz. Chachi was never to rough with her. Good luck I am sure the introduction will go fine

| ![]() If your Roxie is anything like my Roxie she'll probably take the new pup in and mother her to death! Just make sure they both know that they are loved and that you won't tolerate any meanness. I have 4 and for the most part they all get along really well. I just have to watch out for Cricket cause she's such a peewee and they forget and play too rough sometimes. Enjoy your new family member. ![]()

| ![]() Congratulations on your new addition. I am sure they will be best of friends in no time. Just make sure that they get equal attention and everything should be fine. We would hate for Roxie to feel like she has been replaced. You just have to make sure that you have enough room on your lap for everyone.

| ![]() I wanted to name my DD Mycah (Micah) but hubby wanted McKenzie. I love to name girls, especially cute names that are usually given to boys. I know it sounds weird, but alot of boy names are very cute on girls. So now that I have a chance to name another girl, I thought that I would do it my way. I wanted an "R" name, because of Roxi, so I just thought of a boys "R" name that would be cute on a girl...Reghan. |

| ![]() ![]() Congratulations on your new addition. I have never had 2 dogs at a time ever in my life, so dont know what to advise on that. ![]() But i do remember when i brought little Harvey home, he was only 8 weeks old and weighed 1lb 2oz, it had been 15 years since i had had a puppy in our family, and i felt so worried about him, just leaving his mummy and familiar surroundings. All our plans went to pot, he was supposed to go straight in his crate - but no we couldnt leave that tiny fur ball, my daughter slept downstairs on the sofa with him for four nights. Until my vet advised us to start as we meant to go on, and we were not really being kind to him, if eventually we wanted him to sleep seperatly. So we put him in his crate and after three nights of crying for about the first half an hour - we had peaceful sleeps. He happily sleeps in it now, but only at night, the rest of the time he is on your knee, shoulder, arms or around your neck!!!!!!!! Best of luck to you and i hope your little one soon settles. Take care Diane and little Harvey ![]() |
