Our little "butterball" was 16 weeks when she came home and weighed 1 b. 8 oz.! She was a little bundle of energy and her little legs were so short that when she pooped it always smashed on her little butt! :p Needless to say, until she grew a little taller, she got several baths a day [vet approved]!! ;) |
You just never can tell! WOW! Looking at all the weight sizes, I don't think any of the charts are right. You really can't go by them at all! Starsky weighed 2.5 lbs at 8 weeks and was only supposed to grow to 6 lbs. Ha! he is now 2 years old and weighs 10 lbs!!! Shylah weighed 1.9 lbs at 9 weeks and she is almost 10 months old now and weighs 4.0 lbs! I just think you never know until they stop growing. Starsky stopped around 15 months, I think. |
Ninna weighted about 1.4 at 12 weeks when I got her. Tiffany weighted 1.9 when I got her at 5 months old. |
Ollie was about a pound and a half, now she weighs 4 1/2 Chachi was about 2 1/2 now he weighs 5 1/2 |
Banjo was 1.2lbs when we got him at 8 weeks (little porker) and he s now 9lbs and hes only 18 weeks. But hes not overweight as I can still feel his ribs no problem and his backbone, but hes quite tall and a bundle of energy.:) |
Gracie was 2.8 lbs. at 8 weeks. She is now 7 mo. and weighs in at about 5.5 lbs, which is a stable weight for her for the last month or so. |

Mariposa, (Mari) weighed 1.4 at nearly 5 mos and now at nearly 2 she is 4.3. Angel was 1.1 at 10 mos and she will be 2 in june and is 1.8. |
Louie's weight was 2 lbs. at 18 weeks and he is now around 5lbs....Bella weighed 1.6 lbs. at 13 weeks and is now around 5 lbs also. :p :p |

Momiji was about 1 lb at 11 weeks and now she is about 2 lb at 20 weeks. My Hazuki (RIP) was so skinny when she was living in US that vet told us to feed her more. (We free fed her all day long but she just wasn't interested in food....) After she move back to Japan with my parents, she must loved the Japanese dog food, she gain so much weight that vet put her on a diet!!! LOL :D |

I have a 'butterball' too. TJ was 1.8 lbs at 13 weeks old when I got him. Now, my little piggy is about 7lbs. :eek: :eek: :eek: ...he needs to loose a pound (or so) - he felt good at around 6 lbs... Roxy was 2.1 lbs at 6 months old when I got her. Now, my girl weighs 5lbs :) - She is just right! |

Gabe was 1.8 pounds at 7 weeks when i got him (too young i know now) and 2.2 at 11 weeks. He goes back to the vet tomorrow so we will see what he is at now being 14 weeks.:D |

how much do baby yorkies weigh I can only tell you of my experience. My first little girl weighed 8 oz. at 10 weeks. The breeder held her over for a few weeks til she got a little bit bigger. At 10 weeks, I took her to the vet..to make sure no heart murmurs etc...she checked it really healthy...was full of spunk and energy and eating well. I did nutrical her and fed her tiny bits of food often so she wouldn't go into hypoglycemia. The second puppy I got weighed right at 1 lb. at 8 weeks. She is now a little bigger than my first...but is much healthier than me! She keeps me hopping with some of her antics. She is so funny and has a wonderful disposition with everyone. She just has that cotton coat and I am going to have to get some of that stuff mentioned that helps with the grooming of this coat. She does mat easily. And because we have a Min Pin puppy in the home now, he takes her bows etc. out of her hair...will even try to take off her collar. sadielyn they are always such a joy...even those these two act like cartoon characters. |

At 12 wks Pete was 1.6lbs, he just turned 2 on January 5th and weighs 3.9lbs. Pete feels like a good weight now, he weighed about 3lbs up until about 4 months ago when I switched him to wet food. Pete loves his wet food:) :) :) ! |
Abby weighed 3 pounds at 12 weeks she is 5.5 month old now and weighs 7 pounds, the vet told me to cut back on her food she gained a whole pound in 2 weeks :eek: |
Tatum was 9 weeks old and weighed exactly 1 lb. I'd have to look at her records to tell you the progression but she weighs about 5.5 lbs. now at almost 3 years old. I think she's perfect! :D |
At 15 weeks Nyx weighed 1lb 5oz at 9 months she weighs 3lbs 1oz. She seems to have stopped growing lengthwise and now she is filling out her frame more. |
