| Question about belly bands I have a stupid question, can you buy belly bands at stores like Petco? Or is it something you can just order online? |

| I've seen them in petsmart but they are not as nice as the ones that are online. The ones at petsmart have elastic around the belly and I read somewhere that the elastic can cause chafing. Some people make them and sell them here but I can't remember who .

| Belly bands are like diapers for boys. It's a piece of fabric/cloth that you use a maxi pad in and wrap it around your boys middle section preventing him from lifting his leg and peeing on everything in your house. I have seen them at Petsmart and I thought they were spendy. I agree with bren, you can order way nicer ones for a lot less from someone on YT. P.S. my opinion is that there are NO stupid questions

| Belly bands are God's gift to furkid moms. I had to use them for my toy poodle who became incontinent with old age. They were wonderful and allowed me to keep him for another 2 years. I made my own with pretty flannel fabric and velcro and cut generic Poise pads in half to catch the pee. He didn't mind at all as long I kept him clean each day with a mini bath or baby wipes. Here's a link to a site I like to help out. They rehome and rescue Yorkies. http://www.yorkiesinc.com/yorkieshop...#Belly%20Bands |

| I'd never heard of them here in England till I came on here. Glad you explained what they are! They sound a really good idea, especially for elderly dogs who are getting incontinent. |

| They are so easy to make. Just take two, 4 or 5 inch strips of material sewn together and as long as what it takes to go around the male dog and overlap about 2 inches at the back with velcro. Put a thin poise pad (cut in half for the little guys). These are also good for taking trips with a puppy or nervous dog, going to someones home to visit and so on. Gives you that peace of mind knowing your dog isn't going to lift it's leg in someones house when your visiting. |

I keep Timmy on one when he has free run of the house because he trys to mark everything. He started doing this after we moved into our new home. Also, Des (Tiger's Mom) makes great belly bands. | |
